SUPERGIRL: Erica Durance Suits Up In New Photos From Season 3, Episode 22: "Make It Reign"

Spoiler alert, but it looks like Alura (Erica Durance) will indeed be making her way to Earth to lend her daughter Kara and her team a hand in bringing down the Worldkiller Reign once and for all.

Erica Durance is no stranger to a good costume, having suited up in a variety of different guises - including Wonder Woman and Isis - over her seven beloved seasons as Lois Lane on the long-running hit series, Smallville, and it looks like she'll be suiting up yet again in a few weeks on Supergirl.

This time, however, she'll actually have superpowers of her own as she arrives on Earth to lend a helping hand to her daughter Kara (Melissa Benoist) and the rest of her team as they all work together to stop Reign's (Odette Annable) evil reign of terror. Since this is the penultimate hour, it's unlikely Reign will actually be defeated, but it wouldn't be a stretch to expect the team to utilize the black kryptonite to find a way separate the evil Worldkiller from Samantha.

Check out six new promotional stills from episode twenty-two, titled "Make It Reign," below:

As Superman’s cousin, Kara Danvers (aka Supergirl) balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott. Also in Kara’s life are James Olsen, a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor, and Mon-El of Daxam, whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. In season three, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign.

@bigdannymac - mine too. As far fetched Smallville got at times, it was always one of my favorite shows. I have the series on DVD and it’s always nice to see. She was one of the few highlights

@DarkArrow19 - I actually never missed a single episode of SmallVille.

Going back and watching it again recently, it was actually much better then I realized it was. I wouldn't mind seeing a continuation of the show to be honest. Obviously without Alison Mack and her crazy no longer a secret life.

But I'd love to see Tom back as Clark/Superman and Rose back as Lex and of course Erica as Lois. I'd be on board for a "Metropolis" mini series and see what all these characters are up to

The comic series is still ongoing from what I understand. So they certainly have lots to go off of .. or of course .. Superman comics up the wazoo.

@bigdannymac - Smallville gave us a lot of favorites. I'd like to see a live action movie Crisis on two earths with Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor from the parallel universe and Tom Welling as Ultraman.

@bigdannymac - Im also currently rewatching it, the first season was a bit cringey by today standards, but Im into season 5 now, and am loving it just as much now as back when it first came out.

I wonder if Alura will stay as a recurring character next Season.

Looks like whatever they are celebrating at the end of 3x21 is interrupted due to something happening and that continues right into the beginning of 3x22 which is this.

Yeah, because sending from the very beginning a small group of two-three Kryptonians to back Supergirl and the others up was more difficult than giving her a piece of the rock that's sustaining the life of the entire community. Man, what a show.

I'm going to watch this episode for Erica Durance only. The other episodes that I've watched were these with Superman in it.
