Entertainment Tonight has confirmed today that Jeremy Jordan will return for a three-episode arc during the second half of Supergirl season five, following the eagerly awaited Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. However, further details on the circumstances behind Winn Schott's return are being kept under wraps for now.

Jordan left the series after season three to return to his Broadway roots and shared a message after the finale promising he would be back in season four, but with Lex Luthor and Agent Liberty, it would seem as though the writers ran out of time to revisit the future and Winn's status with the Legion of Superheroes.

Meanwhile, TV Line is also reporting that Andrea Brooks has been upped to a series regular for season five, meaning we'll be getting a lot more of Eve Teschmacher as she leaves Lex Luthor's shadow and finds herself back under the hand of the mysterious Leviathan.

Season three saw Supergirl stop Reign and the other Worldkillers’ threat to humanity and our planet, and in the process, Kara was shocked to find her mother Alura alive and living in a salvaged Argo City that survived the destruction of Krypton. Reconnecting with her past caused Kara to realize that her true home is now here on Earth, where big changes are taking place for her and all of her friends in National City – and also, it appears, for a doppelganger in Russia! Season four promises to be full of surprises, action, adventure and lots of big revelations for Supergirl, Alex, James, J’onn, Lena and Brainy.

Supergirl features:
Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl
Mehcad Brooks as James 'Jimmy' Olsen/Guardian
Chyler Leigh as Alexandra 'Alex' Danvers
Jeremy Jordan as Winslow 'Winn' Schott
David Harewood as J'onn J'onzz/Martian Manhunter
Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor
Jesse Rath as Querl Dox/Brainiac 5
Sam Witwer as Ben Lockwood/Agent Liberty
Nicole Maines as Nia Nal/Dreamer
April Parker Jones as Colonel Haley
David Ajala as Manchester Black
Rhona Mitra as Mercy Graves
Robert Baker as Otis Graves
Erica Durance as Alura Zor-El
Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor

These news caught me by surprise, just yesterday he shared on IG that he was about to get full in character for the biopic of Neil Bogart and his wig for the role and this bombshell came out of nowhere. I thought his return would just be save for 100th before hopefully Season 6, so this is all kinds of awesome.

Lex also had a 3 story arc that was important for S4 so one has to wonder if there is something similar in the works for Winn and if it will impact the Leviathan storyline going forward in the series's future or just the Legion plot involving Brainy's race and their survival. Or maybe both.

Only let down is that he won't be there for CoIEs. But who knows. If some new and familiar Legionnaires faces like Mon-El can show up for backup then I'm good until Winn's arc gets in motion. (They better have brand new suits if so courtesy of him!)

Just gonna until then enjoy this moment.

Eve is gonna be a wildcard in this Season I think. There are quite a few things to look forward and the panel on Saturday should reveal more casting.

I really liked his character but I didn't miss him in Season 4 tbh. Will still be happy to see him again.

Honestly, I didnt miss Winn because Brainy has been so great and, imo, better than Winn. As long as his return doesnt mean we sacrifice screen time for Brainy then we are all good and this is welcome news.

Winn for the Win!! Glad to have him back - super funny and good actor. Although as someones already said Brainy has been a good comic addition to the show and i liked the range where he went full brainiac - shows whats to some hopefully. In regards to Winn - i would have loved for him to become a big bad and follow in his fathers toymaker footsteps!!
