SUPERGIRL: Kara Has A Job To Do In The New Promo For Season 3, Episode 14: "Schott Through The Heart"

Tonight's midseason finale was one of the most eventful hours of the season as Kara (Melissa Benoist) spent some actual quality time with Purity (Krys Marshall) and learned that there may be more to the Worldkillers than initially meets the eye. Unfortunately, however, she ended up losing the battle when Reign (Odette Annable) showed up and promptly captured the vulnerable Purity.

Meanwhile, Sam and Lena (Katie McGrath) spent a lot of time together as well and the episode ended on a major cliffhanger as we saw Lena potentially learn Sam's dark secret - and it's hard to tell whether that's a good thing... or a very bad thing. She is a Luthor after all.

There's no new footage, but you can watch the new promo for episode fourteen, titled "Schott Through The Heart," below:

"Schott Through The Heart" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

Original airdate 4/16/2018.

As Superman’s cousin, Kara Danvers (aka Supergirl) balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott. Also in Kara’s life are James Olsen, a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor, and Mon-El of Daxam, whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. The tension between Kara and Alex in this episode over how to handle Purity is ridiculous, in a very bad way.

I liked Purity, she was really good on her manipulation. Her actress really got a lot to chew on and she's more than just an alien Black Canary she can even make everyone freeze with her vibration powers ala that scene from Logan.

Kara and her speaking Kryptonian was nice.

I really think they'll let Winn ride the Legion ship, hopefully. The next episode is supposed to have more of him just wondering how it'll be balanced as the Worldkillers continue to show up.

Lena is gonna end up trying to chew more than she can I am afraid.

The debate of whether to kill or save these beings between Kara and Alex takes back to the theme of the Season of what it means to be human and the scene where Purity reacted to seeing her best friend's pic is another example of it.

Maggie is like Kara's situation with Mon-El, must be dealt. It just can't be shrugged off for Alex.

Curious about Imra's secret.

And now up up and away hiatus. :P

I liked it. Its changing little by little. Cool episode filled with hot women. But perfect timing with that pillar Martian. Suddenly he can lift it and place it

Pretty weak episode before the hiatus.
Although there were some interesting bits, curious to see what's the LOSH secret mission and the third World killer.

Really good episode. Started out not liking the season too much, but it's really picked up and found its stride. Enjoyed the enjoyable balance of both "heart" and "action"; and the tension between Kara/Supergirl was nicely handled. Nine weeks is a loooooong time to wait.
