Next week's episode of Supergirl will finally reveal what happened when Martian Manhunter took Hank Henshaw's place, but things in the present day are about to get even more complicated for Kara.

I watched the pilot and didn't like it. Tried again after episode 5 and i enjoy very much. Now i look for to watching it every week.

@Guest01 -Agreed. EXCELLENT episode. Characters are really coming into their own. Have given most episodes a 6 or 7 max but that episode was clearly a 9 if not, 10. And Martian Manhunter has arrived!!

That's it! I cannot hold it in any longer! Melissa Benoist was SMOKIN' HOT as the uninhibited Kara tonight! Her whole body language was different, the way her word cadence changed, everything! Also seeing her in that body-hugging black outfit wasn't too shabby, either! I think, but am not sure, that even her makeup was different, too. I don't want to come off as some knuckle dragging, objectifying male, but tonight….MAN!

Probably the best episode so far. A nice balance of action and emotion. This episode was the kind of episode usually reserved for a season finale. A game changer. And, Melissa Benoist proves she was the right actor for the part.

I'm most likely the only one, but I wish Kara would end up with Winn instead of James. After seeing tonight's episode I doubt that will be happening.

It will be great to see what happens to Martian Manhunter on the next episode. I hope he can finally start showing his true powers and it will be interesting to see where the producers of this show take his character too.

ABSOLUTE BEST episode so far. This show has caught it's stride and is coasting. That was awesome and yes she was a stunner tonight. Absolutely drop dead sexy.

I hate the "different colored thing" approach to science fiction. Green and White Martians. Green, Red, Gold, etc, etc Kryptonite. Skittle-Flavored Lanterns...

I mean, let's assume that Kryptonians get more solar energy from a brighter star in the yellow area of the main sequence than a dimmer one on the redder end, but that's only talking about black body radiation, when the actual sun's light is basically all colors (peaking in greenish).

So, okay, even accepting that: Kryptonians get more energy from Earth's sun than Krypton's. Fine. Why would shining red light on them drain their strength?! Surely, that would just cause them to regain their energy slower than normal. It's not like Superman goes powerless instantly when he's not in the sunlight like a cheap calculator.

I like this show but not my favorite episode... Would like to get back to the main plot. This felt like filler episode, but I guess it gave a good reason to have Martian Manhunter and not Hank. Hopefully he will be running missions with Supergirl soon.



Also would be cool to have Superman show up sometime. I was thinking, where is superman to come stop supergirl?

@riseofloganX36 - It wouldn't be an over shadow if he only showed up once or twice Especially since the Khryptonians are about to go to war with Earth. You'd think Kara would want Kal involved. Superman hasn't had a real appearance other than chat online.

Loved this episode, loved the throwback to Superman 3 where Supergirl throws nuts at the bar to alcohol bottles just like Supes did.

And honestly, the character interactions in this series gets really emotional sometimes, you can see the actors really care about the show

I really enjoyed the episode, they did a lot of cool things in the last episode that will impact the show from now on. I like how they took a turn giving Kara an edge and acting out on some of her thoughts in the back of her head. Seeing Martian Manhunter reveal himself to everyone and stoping Supergirl was great to see, hopefully that means that Jon can be himself instead of focusing on being Hank all the time.
