SUPERGIRL Season 4 Will Introduce A Transgender Character & A New Villain Who Might Be Manchester Black

As Supergirl prepares for her final battle with Reign, we have new details on several of the new characters that'll be joining the fourth season of The CW series.

The first is referred to only as “Nia Nal”, and is described as a trans woman somewhere in her early 20s. We have no idea if she'll be based on an established DC character or not, but she's said to be a former political speech writer who starts working at Cat Co as one of their latest journalists.

A British actor of any ethnicity in his 20s-30s is also being sought for the role of “Chester Green”, who could "bring a sword to a gun fight and yet end up victorious." Though there's no mention of any superpowers, That Hashtag Show reckon this might be a small-screen take on murderous antihero/villain Manchester Black, who was first introduced back in 2001.

The full description for Green reads:

"He has a dark background that has now put a heavy burden on his shoulders. In missions, however, his charm is so strong that it ends up helping him avoid the brutality of the situation."

Sometimes I wonder if people do these things for representation purposes or for the sake of the good publicity it'll bring.

I love representing people who have never been represented before. As a black man, I understand the importance of it. I just wonder Where people actually stand on a lot of these issues.

This world is crazy. You can't oppose anything anymore without threats of backlash.
