SUPERGIRL: The Battle For Earth Begins In New Photos From The Season 3 Finale: "Battles Lost And Won"

Next week's season three finale of Supergirl will feature a pretty epic team-up as Kara suits up alongside Alura, Mon-El, Guardian, Alex, and Saturn Girl to take on Reign and her evil forces.

Supergirl has really been on a roll since returning from an extended winter hiatus and has benefitted in recent weeks from a pair of strong guest apperances from both Erica Durance (Smallville) and Carl Lumbly (Justice League), who have been exceptional as the parents of Kara (Melissa Benoist) and J'onn (David Harewood), respectively.

Next Monday's season three finale will unite mother and daughter as they put up a last stand against Reign (Odette Annable) and Serena (Anjali Jay). They'll be joined in their fight by a number of familiar faces, including Mon-El (Chris Wood), Guardian (Mehcad Brooks), Alex (Chyler Leigh), and Saturn Girl (Amy Jackson). Unfortunately, however, there's still no sign of the Man of Steel (Tyler Hoechlin), which is always a little puzzling considering the apocalyptic-level threat posed by the Worldkillers.

Check out the new extended promo and fifteen new promotional stills from the season three finale, titled "Battles Lost and Won," below:

As Superman’s cousin, Kara Danvers (aka Supergirl) balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott. Also in Kara’s life are James Olsen, a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor, and Mon-El of Daxam, whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. Can’t wait for the finale. I also like how they saved for the end Reign’s sword for the end, it looks straightout from the comics.

don't care about the damn beard. i care about the fact that Kryptonians are destroying earth and Superman hasn't even seemed to notice. This show has lost me. It's back to the same lameness that caused me to stop watching after 3 episodes in the first season.

Ok so seaosn one big bads, Kryptonians...

Season 2 big bads, Daxamites...

Season 3 big bads, Kryptonians...

So what we get season 4? Seriously come on this is getting worse than the films, why is it producers and writers only think that when fighting a Heroic Kryptonian you can only have them fight well others of their race!

I know Supergirl doesnt really have much of her own Rogues Gallery, but there are lots of DC villains powerful enough to stand upt to Kara that are not in Supermans Rogues...

Also again with the no Superman! WTF! Come on CW...this would be like Marvel having Iron Man face Thanos with just Hawkeye and Black widow...

If its a world wide level threat Superman would be there (maybe they'll explain it away that he's off planet or something...) but still not the smegging point
