VIDEO: Lex Luthor's Warsuit Finally Made Its Live-Action Debut In Last Night's SUPERGIRL

Lex Luthor's warsuit was first teased in Supergirl season two but a villain actually put it on in last night's episode of the show, the first time it's been seen in a live-action setting. Check it out...

Lex Luthor has made a number of live-action appearances over the years but we've never had the opportunity to see him use his warsuit during a battle with the Man of Steel. That could change if something becomes of that Injustice League tease at the end of Justice League but in the meantime, another version of the suit made its debut in last night's action-packed episode of The CW's Supergirl

It looks pretty cool but isn't worn by Lex; instead, it's his mother that suited up to do battle with Mon-El! It's also hard to escape the feeling that the big screen would really be able to do the
warsuit justice.

Despite that, this was still a pretty cool pay off for fans who have been waiting to see this in the show since it first popped up during season two. If you missed the episode, you can check it out in action below and then be sure to let us know your thoughts on the sequence in the comments section below.

Lilian Luthor's role in Smallville: Becoming a source of pain and tension between Lionel and Lex. A source of good that tries to pull Lex back from a path of evil.

Lilian Luthor's role in Supergirl: Becoming Iron Man and blasting lasers out of an "Lexosuit".

@Nightwing1015 - Seriously? Do you even read comics? Wait, what am I talking about, this is comicbookmovie.com, of course nobody does. Funny how the comics, games, and cartoons have depicted Lex's mech suit for YEARS but only now people are criticizing it for being an Iron Man knockoff.

@GAThrawnIGF - I do read comics. I was being facetious. However, the shot of Lilian's face in the suit is a shameless rip off of Iron Man.

@GAThrawnIGF - It's not the suit concept from the comics that people are knocking, it's the show's implementation of it.

Lillian Luthor: [to Supergirl] I can't think of a morning I haven't woken up with the thought of strangling you. That sanctimonious image of yours fooled everyone except me. Because I know evil.

@KermitTheFraud - We'll see. Still waiting for it to get good. Hasn't happened yet, but it has potential. If it can avoid the same pitfalls that spoil Supergirl.

The part that took me by surprise was when it formed a helmet around her head which in a way made sense, even if it had been Lex. If you wear one when you are riding a motorcycle then you should also do it when if you are going to fight a kryptonian.

Winn was on point it was awesome. And I think it was the first time Lillian has lost a fight.

Pretty sure there will be more out there because Lex had different vaults around the world containing more of stuff like that.

And damn so much hate to Lillian here all of a sudden? The roles here have been reversed since S2 with Lionel and Lena being the good ones while Lex and Lillian as the evil ones. And it is not the first time she's shown up either.

Also, extended preview for next week.

The special fx budget can't save this show's terrible writing. And the incessant dialogue jabs at republicans are just awkward and embarrassing. Actors and costumes are great, but the current batch of writers is making a real mess of things.

@rabid - What jabs at Republicans have there been? Hearing that doesn't surprise me though. It's always been the most needlessly political of the Arrowverse shows.
