DC TV Roundup - SUPERMAN & LOIS "Into Oblivion," THE FLASH "Lockdown," & NAOMI "Fellowship of the Disc"

While Superman & Lois will be taking next week off, The Flash is back with new episodes and it sounds like next week's installment is going to be pretty intense as Barry teams up with Kramer.

Next week, Superman & Lois continues its excellent second season with an hour that shifts the focus to John Henry (Wole Parks), who has been acting strange since his first encounter with Bizarro (Tyler Hoechlin). Luckily, Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch), Clark (Tyler Hoechlin), and Natalie (Taylor Buck) will team up to help.

Meanwhile, Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alex Garfin) brace themselves for a serious talk with their parents while Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Kyle (Erik Valdez) have a tense moment at the beginning of the day.

Then, on The Flash, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Kramer (Carmen Moore) find themselves on lockdown at CCPD when a gang of criminals holds the entire precinct hostage. They'll be forced to rely on one another to make it out alive. Plus, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) is the third wheel on a night out with Snow and Mark (Jon Cor).

Lastly, Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alex Garfin) brace themselves when they realize a talking to from their parents is headed their way. Dylan Walsh and Sofia Hasmik also star. Martin, Candice Patton, Danielle Nicolet, Kayla Compton and Brandon McKnight. Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode written by Christina M. Walker (#807). Original airdate 3/16/2022.

These CW shows are still on?

Just kidding, I wish I was still into them the way I was a couple years ago. I genuinely lost interest in The Flash, despite liking most of the seasons. I do want to at least catch up on Superman and Lois.

Half way through their second season and they are still going strong without sign of letting up. Between this and Peacemaker, the MCU shows are going to have a lot to live up to. Can't wait for Star Girl to return.

Wonder if Bizarro is really dead, could save him with green kryptonite.

Wonder, what if instead of Ally, Anderson becomes Parasite

@Himura - It was cute, but like 99% filler so you didn't miss much.

@Reeds2Much - That filler is so gonna impact later on, especially through Avery and perhaps on Eddie just because he got advice from Bart of how to approach a Joe that was still acting distance because recently losing his partner.

Superman & Lois and Flash were very good this week.

Plot thickens in the former, Anderson going rogue and anti-hero because he's become too paranoid about where Superman's allegiance have pushed him to seek out Ally. Unless he's able to turn back a new leaf before it's too late then there's no going back for him. I think we're gonna see his inverse doppelganger from Bizarro's Earth as the promo teased.

I think Tal-Rho deserves the benefit of the doubt at least since he mentioned he was sorry for what he did to Jordan. Unless he goes anti-hero as well in his own way later.

Bizarro's death was unexpected, but I hope there's a way for him to make a return.

Lois and Jonathan's scenes are always emotional, this one wasn't the exception. It hurts her that she knows her son is lying to her and is sticking with covering Candice. And in Clark's case he was so upset unlike before.

But the interesting part is that there's an irony in how he didn't give in Bizarro's whereabouts despite him killing those SoA members and almost murdering Steel is a good parallel of Jonathan not ratting out his girlfriend. I hope that is addressed.

Aubrey is cool so far, but I hope Sarah remembers that she's still wearing the necklace Jordan gave to her as a sign of his trust in her.

Lana shoot back well at the corrupt mayor. It was nice seeing Lana and Lois being there for each other.

And so Sam is back at action, kinda, for leading the manhunt on Anderson. That means he will run at some point with Ally then.

-------------------------------------------

Bart and Nora carried effortlessly the episode.

That Booster Gold reference from 2032. XD

It was nice seeing the behind the scenes of pre-1x01 post-Barry being in a coma from how Joe struggled with a just divorced Cecile and Eddie as well was good to see again.

I'm sure the robber was the same guy that tried to rob Jitters post-Crisis when they had just opened.

Bart kissing Joe in slow-motion as he saved him. XD

The reveal of the Royal Flush Gang assembling earlier was a good one. So was the way XS and Impulse had to save the day without actually stopping the villains, Bart's very good in stealth.

In fact I liked how they made sure that no one really saw any streak of their lightning because it must be Barry who does it first once he wakes up from his coma in S1.

Jay's comments about time traveling to fighting nazis when he first started and being in-and-out in the past many times felt like bridges being made to connect him more with his place in Stargirl's flashbacks to be honest.

"President Luthor", he got them with that one.

I'm starting to think that 1) anything that belongs to Iris or that she's come in touch with will end up disappearing from the timeline due to her time sickness and 2) while Bart and Nora fixed things, it's possible that having the RFG showing up earlier or even the mere common advice to Eddie of how to get closer to Joe back then could have their consequences.

And I really enjoyed Avery's character as well as her scenes with Bart. Pretty sure she was the Avery Ho that becomes a member of the Flash Family. Not counting her out of appearing later to help in the present with Iris' issue.

Surprised they killed off Bizarro. Kind of hope he is able to come back, that feels like a big loss. First real decision made this season that I don't agree with.
