Things are really starting to heat up on The Flash and next Tuesday, the team makes their most dangerous move yet when they find a way to infiltrate The Thinker's pocket dimension. With their options limited and the clock ticking down, the Scarlet Speedster (Grant Gustin) will take Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) and Vibe (Carlos Valdes) with him on a potential suicide mission.

However, while those three are off trying to get an upper hand on DeVoe, it looks like Team DeVoe will be doing a little infiltrating of his own as these new promotional stills reveal both DeVoe (Miranda MacDougall) and Marlize (Kim Engelbrecht) inside S.T.A.R. Labs, which is certainly not good news for Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) and Iris (Candice Patton), who were tasked with protecting the homefront.

The new photos also reveal that the episode will introduce one of the last two remaining bus metas, Edwin Gauss (Arturo Del Puerto), a.k.a. the Folded Man, who doesn't seem to have gone full supervillain yet as we see him having a seemingly pleasant conversation with Ralph.

Check out nineteen new promotional stills and the extended promo for episode eighteen, titled "Lose Yourself," below:

"Lose Yourself" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

RALPH CONSIDERS CROSSING A LINE TO DEFEAT THE THINKER - When Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash find a way to enter The Thinker's lair, Ralph (guest star Hartley Sawyer) considers crossing a dangerous line to defeat DeVoe. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) is concerned by Harry's (Tom Cavanagh) recent behavior. Hanelle Culpepper directed the episode written by Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza (#418). Original airdate 4/17/2018.

Last season, Barry Allen aka The Flash used his extraordinary abilities to travel back in time and save his mother’s life, and inadvertently created an alternate timeline known as Flashpoint. The phenomenon not only gave birth to the villainous God of Speed known as Savitar, but changed the lives of Caitlin Snow and Wally West forever. With the help of his adoptive father, Detective Joe West, his fiancée Iris West, and his friends at S.T.A.R. Labs – Cisco Ramon and Harrison Wells -- Barry continues to protect the people of Central City from the meta-humans that threaten it. But first, he’ll have to escape the Speed Force – an extra-dimensional entity teeming with unknown dangers – that Barry sacrificed himself to in order to save Central City.

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West
John Wesley Shipp as Henry Allen/Jay Garrick
Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen
Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash
Violett Beane as Jesse Quick
Tom Felton as Julian Dorn
Danielle Nicolet as Cecille Horton
Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man
Neil Sandilands as Clifford DeVoe/The Thinker

I'm ready for this season to end. Hopefully something actually happens in this episode.

So far, Flash has gotten his ass kicked this entire season and relies on other characters to get the job done for him. These past two seasons really are what Season 3 and 4 were for Arrow. If it continues to follow the same path, then hopefully Season 5 will be great.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Not when it is explained why it was happening. I think however that a speedster that trips in a movie (Ezra's) fits more that kind of description.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - I think they're just making it easier for me to consolidate my viewing itinerary. I can scratch off the next seasons of Flash and Arrow and make room for new stuff. BTW, Black Lightning has been solid. I really hope they don't move to the 23 episode format. Legends is great in its own quirky way too.

@CheepTricks - It’s weird that for Beast Boy, they haven’t added makeup to his face to make him Green.

Heck we had Data from Star Trek 30 years ago looking more like Beast Boy

@Knightrider - I never got what the problem is with coloring actors skins the color as in the comic book. Is it that expensive to do? Green skin for Beast Boy, Bronze/orange for Starfire... proper shade of green for Braniac 5 (Supergirl)

What is that that Harry is handing over to Barry?

From what I can tell the fist pics are of Barry and Ralph looking for Gauss, which ends up succeeding. Doesn't seem he put up much resistance. In fact he looks likeable.

Iris and Ralph and Joe aren't just tasked with protecting STAR Labs and Ralph, but also Gauss, Melting Pot and Null.

I think the trailer makes you watch out for both Ralph and Iris. Or it could be all are fair risks. I have read theories that the entire episode is gonna be a mental vision taking place inside of Harry's head due to the Thinking Cap but IMO that would make it all quite cheap, it looks to be a game-changing and intense episode so make it all take place in probables fields could end up killing some of the hype.

So right now I am going with that, Harry makes some calculations that he didn't count on and gets results in which Iris ends up being killed by Marlize and it could end up playing into what Carlos Valdes said about a dark secret coming out from Harry, of how much is he calculating ahead and what he discovers and whether he wants to share or not, etc.

So it could be a series of probabilities visions featuring Iris (and maybe more) dying or one where Ralph takes the hit for all of them and a choice has to be made.

Episodes 18th usually deliver big. (Except S1's, which was a bit akward with Iris and Eddie couple drama and Barry becoming doubtful of his friends' loyalty between him and "Wells", plus tech bees giving him trouble)

Can't wait.

Last week, Barry saves the guy in the falling car...and just gave up on running after Null..even though he's the fastest man alive? It just annoys me how far this show has fallen since Season 1. Kill everyone except for Joe..

@MrCamw1 - Nah it's fine, I get you entirely. Not perve-ing nor anything but her current one does fall in the area of meh-sih. I miss the one from S3. Always here hoping for an upgrade in the future or the return of S3's KF suit.

Sad when the Flash series has been so much better than anything (except you WW) DC has put on the big screen. Wish they could get it right.

MOS > BVS UE > WW.

Also, DC movies are irrelevant to this article (not a single mention) so this comment is also irrelevant. Go spread the negativity elsewhere, thanks.
