After images of the Scarlet Speedster's new suit  leaked online, Grant Gustin took to his Instagram and officially unveiled Barry Allen's redesigned costume via the first poster for The Flash Season 5.

But if you still want another look at the heroes' new duds, the series' star also shared a behind-the-scenes photo of the outfit, as a "bonus sneak peek" for fans of the CW show.

The image shared by Gustin doesn't reveal any new design details, but it does give us an idea of what the star will look like without the mask on, something viewers will likely see happen at multiple points during the show. Plus, the star also used the opportunity to express his love for the suit.

The Flash will return for its fifth season on October 9.

Off-topic: saw The Meg. Some fun parts, but not enough to make it worth seeing in the theater (unless it's a cheap one). Statham, the shark and Rainn Wilson are the highlights.

Also, it was pretty fun getting the Venom trailer before this and hearing other audience members saying "What?" when the turd line happens.

@MUTO123 - they showed that and the Shazam trailer at the showing I went to.

@MrCamw1 - They showed the trailers for those two, Aquaman, Overlord and The Predator (they switched out the mom joke for another, better joke) at my screening. Plus trailers for that Peppermint movie with Jennifer Garner and something called A-X-L (which looks a lot like if that Max Steel movie had a bigger budget and the robot was a dog).

@MUTO123 - I just drank a bunch of beers so at the moment I cant remember what other trailers I saw. But they did have Predator that I remeber.

So spandex with a hard helmet doesn’t work. Avengers 1 proved this. They need to find a way to give him a closer fitting cowl.

@DerekLake - Why are they going back to maroon! The suit is the only thing that was just right in S4.

What was all that bodyshaming stuff even about? The dude looks totally fine.

Season 2 and 3 suit (which was basically just the season 1 suit with a white emblem) is still the best as far as I'm concerned.

Slightly weird looking cowl aside, definitely the best suit so far. Glad they ditched the leather.

I'm not really feeling this suit. It's like they built over the old suit with pieces of cloth. While I like the idea of a no leather suit, the S4 suit design was nice, just a little baggy, if they could've just made that suit fit better.

Also, the cowl is giving me major Avengers Cap suit vibe. They should've probably kept the chin straps.

That being said, I do like that there's no zipper in between, and that the top and pants look like one piece.

I like the suit but the cowl looks like it's gonna fall off. Replace the new cowl with the old one and I think it's super girl level of accurateness.(Now I hope they do this to The Atom and others)

Suit looks cool enough ... that cowl though.

Makes his head look like he's mid transformation into the Leader.

This guy clearly has issues. Let it go Gustin!! Stop trying to gets others
approval. It’s a true sign of weakness. Besides if the suit doesn’t work on camera, I’m sure the producers will tweak whatever asap like they did Diggle’s Helmet on Arrow.
