TITANS Actor Brenton Thwaites On Robin's Infamous "F*ck Batman" Line; Two New Stills Released

Maybe, "I'm not Batman", or how about "Batman is not here". Or even "Why Batman"... But "f bomb Batman"? ok...Bad form.

@DCFilmJunkie - I suppose it could be done, but the presentation of it was just hilariously awful. The trailer starts with the "TV-MA" warning that really got my attention, but then it cuts to a set that looks like it's from a music video, plus some nice film school editing. After that, Robin and Raven have a little moment that gave me immediate Riverdale vibes. Then the really cheesy pop song kicks in with some shirtless Arch- I mean, Robin, fan service.





The pop song starts ramping up, and it suddenly changes to some hardcore techno. This dude drops from the sky, starts stabbing people, stomping and necks, and says "[frick] Batman," and it's just bad.



Maybe the show will pleasantly surprise me, but that trailer just didn't do anything right.

@Kevwebsz - It really feels like that. It feels like someone on this site wanted to satire the DC Films Cinematic Universe, despite the fact that they know next to nothing about what it really is, and came up with a TV series that does everything Zack Snyder is accused of doing, only for real.

@Spock0Clock - Did you not read my reply to your criticism about Clark "overcoming" his mother who inspired him to use his abilities to help others when he was in grade school, and "overcoming" his father expressing the importance of a secret identity? Whom he didn't overcome, nor did he need to overcome. I went into excruciating detail about why every one of your criticisms was based on your misinterpretation of Clark's parents and of Clark himself. Zack Snyder uses darkness to show that the light always returns and it shines all the brighter.

Even when his Batman believed his rules against killing no longer mattered, he still didn't set out to kill anyone. He just didn't worry about their safety if they got in the way of his revenge, and he learned that he was wrong for pursuing revenge, even against a man with Superman's power level, and that his rules still matter.

Robin deliberately killed all those criminals and had BLOOD on his face. Zack Snyder has NEVER gone as far with his DC Films as "Titans" seems to be going and I have no clue if it's going to be like that the rest of the show or not.

With "Man of Steel" I knew that everything was going to be good by the end, and it was. I knew that "Batman v Superman" would end with Superman patching things up with Batman and gaining the world's trust, and it did. Since "Batman v Superman" was a "darkest just before the dawn" type story, I knew the stories that followed would be more light-hearted and optimistic. I knew that "Suicide Squad" was going to be a hard R dark comedy that explored villains that had the potential to do good, for more than just self preservation. I had to read The Official Movie Novelization to get that, but I did.

Due to what Wonder Woman was like in "Batman v Superman" I knew that Wonder Woman's history would be violent and tragic but, as a result of the events of "Batman v Superman" the film would be more light-hearted and optimistic, and that's exactly what happened.

I absolutely knew that, after the events of "Batman v Superman", Superman would have absolutely no reason not to be optimistic, and that the film itself would be Zack Snyder's most light-hearted and optimistic DC Film, jury's still out on that one until they #ReleasetheSnyderCut, but I'm pretty sure that was the case.


With "Titans", I have no clue what they're doing and, unlike with Zack Snyder's DC Films, it feels like they ARE trying to be dark just for the sake of being dark. It may just be a MUCH darker take on "Batman v Superman", and everyone will be more optimistic by the end of the season, but it doesn't have to be a Marvel Netflix show to do that.
