TITANS Season 1, Episode 4 "Doom Patrol" Promo Introduces DC Universe's Misfit Superteam

Following some promo stills earlier today, the teaser for the fourth episode of DC Universe's Titans has been released online. Get your first brief glimpse of The Doom Patrol in action after the jump...

Tonight's "Origins" episode of DC Universe's Titans saw Rachel encounter Gar Logan for the first time, and next week, Beast Boy will take his new pal to meet his surrogate family, The Doom Patrol.

We got our first look at Negative Man, Elasti-Girl and Robotman earlier today, but the promo for episode 4 gives us a glimpse of the characters interacting with The Titans, and it doesn't look like every member of this misfit team is going to be very welcoming to the young heroes at first.

Also, is that a brief shot of The Chief with Kory?

Check out the teaser below along with some stills, and let us know if you've been enjoying Titans so far.

Beast Boy And The Doom Patrol

We've seen some set snaps and a couple of blurry images from NYCC, but here we have our first official look at Robotman, Negative Man and Elastigirl.

It seems Gar Logan considers himself a member of the Doom Patrol for the time being - so what prompts him to join The Titans?

Elasti-Girl

Rita Farr, aka Elasti-Girl, will be played by Drop Dead Diva star April Bowlby, and as you can see from this image, it looks like she doesn't quite have a handle on her powers yet.

Robotman

This comic-accurate take on Robotman will be physically portrayed by Riley Shanahan, but The Mummy actor Brendan Fraser will provide his voice and also appear as the character's human alter-ego Cliff Steele in flashbacks.

Negative Man

Former Air Force test pilot Larry Traino will be played by Star Trek: Discovery actor Dwain Murphy. This character has the ability to discharge energy from this body in the form of a shadowy silhouette referred to as the Negative Man, or the Negative Spirit.

A Pit-Stop

The duo stop for a break after a hard day staying ahead of Dick Grayson, who Raven no longer trusts.

More Trouble

That guys does not look very friendly, but something tells us the ladies are more than capable of taking care of business.

The Nuclear Family

Titans' take on these classic DC villains remains shrouded in mystery, but we do know they're every bit as creepy and dangerous as their comic book counterparts.

Starfire To The Rescue

As lethal as the ginger weirdos are, they're no mach for Kory, who will be sporting a more comic-accurate costume... eventually.

Raven's Escape Attempt

Poor Rachel has been through the ringer, but she's about to discover that not everyone is out to do her harm.

Starfire Makes A Discovery

Kory finds something very interesting in a storage locker. A clue to her real identity, perhaps?

A Quick Bite

Raven and Starfire stop for a feed. Is the young runaway beginning to trust her new companion?

Beast Boy

Rachel meets a kindred spirit in Gar Logan (Ryan Potter), who is impressed with her arcade game skills.

The Convent

Kory takes Rachel back to the convent where she was raised - a place that may hold more clues to both their pasts than they realize.

Robin And Raven

Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) catches up with Rachel after their falling out in the previous episode - but he may have some work to do before she's ready to forgive him.

Haven't seen todays episode yet but the show is that bad. The way they use blood is gratuitous to the point where it looks goofy tho lol. But i'm hoping the show improves on it's weak points and is enjoyable.

@Snowbirdd - the use of blood feels empty and senseless. Its literally like the eay blood splatter is used in a lot of fan films; very wanton.

Doom Patrol looks great, Elasti-Girl specially. Well ALL of them look. Even Garfield's jacket that was initially also part of the negativity is from the comics, color-wise at least.

I wonder if Robotman will actually speak by moving his robotic lips or just the voice will come from inside. Red eyes seems to be for when he is awake?

Negative Man is also straightout from the comics.

that was literally the worst promo. i wanted to see the show based on pics of the doom patrol, but the acting in this promo (by the titans) is absolutely horrible. hard pass.

@HelaGood - Because you can judge acting on a 2 second snippet. Also, Doom Patrol were never going to be a major part of Titans. This episode is only to serve as a lead-in to the Doom Patrol show. I doubt the team will get too many more appearances within Titans.

i may be in the minority here but robot man looks not good his face looks like its made out of a cheap material, and the glowing eyes makes it look more like a cosplay suit.

Loving the Titans! Robin is my favorite and it was great seeing his origin this week. Also liked seeing Raven and Starfire together. Can’t wait for The Doom Patrol next week and to see more about Beast Boy/Changeling.
