It sounds like DC Universe's Titans will eventually introduce Lex Luthor, because his right-hand woman is coming to season 2.

According to Deadline, Natalie Gumede has been cast in the recurring guest role of Mercy Graves. This take on the formidable bodyguard of Superman's nemesis is described as "ruthless and cunning," Mercy serves her boss with "unquestioned loyalty. Her connection to the Luthors runs deep, as Mercy has been a friend of the family and in Lex’s life since they were young.”

Like Harley Quinn before her, Graves debuted in animated form before finding her way to the comics. Since then, other live-action incarnations/variations of the character have appeared in Smallville, Supergirl and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Gumede is arguably best known for playing Ashley Doctor Who, but has also appeared in the likes of Jekyll & Hyde, Death in Paradise, and Clubbed.

Titans season 2 does not have a premiere date yet.

I don't think Mercy actually appeared in Smallville. Maybe a character like her did. An assistant to Lex.

@Nightwing1015 - she eventually did in the follow up comics. Lex's half sister was modeled after her though.

@Nightwing1015 - Tess Mercer, Lex's half-sister, was an amalgamation of Mercy Graves and Miss Teschmacher from the DC lore.

Why the hell are they introducing a Superman villain in Titans? So far Season 2 seems worse than 1.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 -
Because of Superboy and his connection to Luthor.

She could be tracking down Kon-El most likely because the character is connected to both Lex and Superman. 🤔

How are they going to pack all this in 13 episodes. With the first season not even being finished yet. But they cancel swamp thing.

One day I might finish S1...

@Kyos - Literally just watch the last episode, that was the best imo.

The main plot is kind of a bore and doesn't feel like it matters but somewhat contained episodes like Jason Todd, Doom Patrol, Hank and Dawn, Dick Grayson...usually quite amazing i'd say

This is starting to feel like S1, way too many things crammed into a season

DC Universe's Titans is good... if you've never read Wolfman&Perez The New Teen Titans. Had they respected the tone and 'spirit' of the source material, Titans certainly could've reached a bigger, wider audience. Now DC fans have to settle for an unimpressive niche product with a doubtful future.

she actually plays ruthless pretty well, she was in the British soap Coronation street and she played a really cunning character on there, i think they've found a great actress for the role

@Mumbix - And she actually plays being a physical threat pretty good for an attractive tv actress

It was possible that I could've start watching Titans and Doom Patrol... but with Swamp Thing cancelled, getting invested in DC Universe seems like a no now. The idea of a JL Dark kind of thing on DC streaming would've secured my money for sure.
