DC Universe's Titans continues this Friday with a brand new episode, "Origins."

As the title suggests, this installment looks set to reveal a little more about Starfire as the mysterious alien(?) warrior teams up with Robin in an attempt to discover the secrets of her abilities. Meanwhile, Raven finds a new friend in Beast Boy, and we get that bit closer to the four heroes uniting to form the titular super-team.

Check out the promo below along with a synopsis and some previously released promo images.

After being rescued by Kory from the Nuclear Family, Rachel travels with her to the convent where she was raised – a destination that might provide answers about Rachel's past and Kory's identity. Meanwhile, Dick goes in pursuit of Rachel and Kory, the mysterious woman who rescued her – and the journey awakens memories of his own orphanhood and his unorthodox upbringing in the shadows of Bruce Wayne. When Dick finally reunites with Rachel and Kory, he realizes that Rachel's found a new protector in Kory. But the convent is not everything it seems to be and Rachel might have to rely on her guardians as well as a new friend, Gar Logan, to keep her safe.

Raven And Starfire

Well, the pair are going by their civilian names of Rachel (Teagan Croft) and Kory (Anna Diop) for now, but it's probably only a matter of time before they assume their superhero mantles.

A Pit-Stop

The duo stop for a break after a hard day staying ahead of Dick Grayson, who Raven no longer trusts.

More Trouble

That guys does not look very friendly, but something tells us the ladies are more than capable of taking care of business.

The Nuclear Family

Titans take on these classic DC villains remains shrouded in mystery, but we do know they're every bit as creepy and dangerous as their comic book counterparts.

Starfire To The Rescue

As lethal as the ginger weirdos are, they're no mach for Kory, who will be sporting a more comic-accurate costume... eventually.

Raven's Escape Attempt

Poor Rachel has been through the ringer, but she's about to discover that not everyone is out to do her harm.

Starfire Makes A Discovery

Kory finds something very interesting in a storage locker. A clue to her real identity, perhaps?

A Quick Bite

Raven and Starfire stop for a feed. Is the young runaway beginning to trust her new companion?

Beast Boy

Rachel meets a kindred spirit in Gar Logan (Ryan Potter), who is impressed with her arcade game skills.

The Convent

Kory takes Rachel back to the convent where she was raised - a place that may hold more clues to both their pasts than they realize.

Robin And Raven

Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) catches up with Rachel after their falling out in the previous episode - but he may have some work to do before she's ready to forgive him.

@QUITEMASSIVE - I don't know that they have to follow the real origin so long as there is good story telling. This is a dark and gritty take on the team.

I can't bring myself to get DC Universe yet . I almost did Saturday. But backed out at the last minute. Honestly one reason is it's not PS4 friendly yet.

@Imfunnyhow - 10 for me, the show is engaging. And so far watching both episodes time has flown by. And I have to say when the episode ends, I am wanting another episode asap.

Granted this could change as the season progresses.

This show fails to understand its lead character Dick Grayson. Robin would never follow in Batman's footsteps to become a "psychopath" or a sadist. The entire point of Dick Grayson is that he balances Batman's anger and cares about the human consequences of their work.

The Titans Robin would have worked much better as Jason Todd. Grayson is my favourite character in all of comics and I'm not really interested in watching a show that's got him so badly wrong.
