Following a very successful debut for The Doom Patrol in the last episode of Titans, next week's installment of the DC Universe series will finally see our core group of heroes come together to form a team of their own.

The show took the time to flesh out the individual characters first, but now we'll finally get to see Robin, Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy put their differences aside and team-up to do battle against The Nuclear Family.

Oh, and it looks like Dick and Kory have become a bit more than just teammates.

Check out the promo for Titans episode 5 below along with a short synopsis, and let us know if you've been enjoying the show in the comments.

"When the Nuclear Family tracks them down, Dick, Kory, Rachel and Gar decide to stop running and work together – and the team that will be known as “The Titans” is formed."

@Forthas - Is it just me or does this not even hit them?

@LEVITIKUZ - You can tell that they are being pulled as opposed to reacting to the blow. In fact I think the weapon is CGI...

I haven't watched the latest episode yet (which I'm really looking forward too) but man the writing and dialogue for this show can be so weird.

This is the dialogue we got in the span of 10 minutes:

HANK: "Who are they? What the hell do they want with Rachel?"

DICK: "I don't know."

--

KORY: "Who are they? Those people, what do they want from you?"

RACHEL: "I don't know."

--

RACHEL: "Who are you? What do you want from me?"

KORY: "I don't know."

--

Lol seriously, in the span of 10 minutes. I'm still not a fan of this Dick Grayson. First of all Bruce Wayne is a real strange guy. You don't just say to a kid who right in the moment of his parents death that you want to help him and put your hand his shoulder? How exactly do you want to help him? How do you expect him to respond to your desire to help in that very moment? He hadn't even grieved yet and obviously was still in shock. And a young Dick proclaiming he wants to kill his parents killer just sounded weird. Maybe he has said that in the comics before, but this guy just comes across as a Jason Todd wannabe.

The writing is a bit basic, but I'm definitely enjoying TITANS a lot more than I expected to.

Really liked the Doom Patrol episode. Can see why they recast Beshir as Chief. Thick accent effected his delivery. Negative Man, Elastigirl were great. Kinda wished Robot Man was more grumpy and angry like in the comics and cartoons. DEFINITELY looking forward to the spinoff series.

This was, IMO, a fantastic episode. As someone who's never once cared for the Doom Patrol, I am now excited for their own show. Geoff Johns is clearly letting his geek out for this show. I wonder how many people know that Beast Boy was actually adopted by the Doom Patrol prior to joining the Teen Titans. This show does a great job of catering to the hardcore comic book fan, while also being accessible to a newcomer.
