TNT Decides To Pass On Live-Action TEEN TITANS TV Series

Well, here's some news which will ruin your day. The planned Teen Titans TV series has been scrapped by TNT, but could it still live on elsewhere?

TNT's Titans has been in development for a while now, and despite the fact that not much was ever revealed about it, we do know that it would have revolved around Dick Grayson/Nightwing stepping out of Batman's shadow to lead his own team (which looked set to consist of names like Starfire, Raven, Barbara Gordon/Oracle, and Hawk & Dove). Akiva Goldsman (Batman Forever) was attached to write the pilot, but TNT President Kevin Reilly - who took over the network a few months after Titans came close to scoring a pilot order - made it clear to reporters at the Television Critics Association's press tour in Pasadena that this isn't the kind of series they have any interesting in developing. "We just decided it wasn’t quite where we wanted to go," he said, confirming that the series is no longer happening at TNT. So, will we see it on another network? The CW passed on Supergirl before it landed at CBS after all, but there's no word on it being picked up elsewhere just yet. Did Warner Bros. put the breaks on it in order to bring the characters to the big screen? That too remains to be seen. What do you guys think the future holds in store for them?

Not surprising, there was no movement on that thing for ages.

Get to making a movie, WB.

The DCEU welcomes you Teen Titans. Just replace the Cyborg film into a Teen Titans film.

Wasn't it rumoured that the Cyborg film would become a Teen Titans movie? I hope thats the case.

Figured they would make the Cyborg standalone a Titans film.

Good. A little too ambitious for TV. Should be on film. That would take some serious development and set up. Would be worth it. I honestly didn't think this would ever happen, just like that Goyer Krypton should on SyFy. Doubt that ever gets going too.

We don't need a live action Teen Titans show....we NEED THIS TO RETURN!

Enough with this series. Bring back Young Justice.

Someday we'll get a movie adaptation of The Judas Contract, minus the part where Deathstroke is banging a teenage girl.

I guess this means the live action Cyborg film will become this instead. That being said it would be nice if SyFy licensed the rights to this show, instead of the dumb Krypton show. As for everyone talking about Young Justice 2016 is the year the team went to Apokolips, so hopefully WB has something planned for that show, be it another season or a movie.

Just make the Cyborg movie into a Teen Titans movie. Simple.

Who cares about Cyborg as a standalone? It's all about the TT yo!

Just means that the CW gets a shot at picking up the show. There's also the opportunity to shop this as a major motion picture.

Woody Allen would love to direct it I'm sure.
