Academy Award-winner Jodie Foster is reportedly in negotiations to star in FX's small-screen adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan's Y: The Last Man.

According to That Hashtag Show, Foster would play Jennifer Brown, the mother of the series' main player Yorick. The report indicates that Foster's involvement would mean a greatly expanded role for this character.

The pilot for the show was ordered earlier this year and will be directed by Melina Matsoukas (Insecure, Master of None). Production is expected to begin production towards the end of July.

How is Yorick's mom the lead? Unless she is a co-lead of sorts. Yorick is the last man after all.

@Asturgis - I enjoyed Saga at the start, but I only read it now out of habit. Gotta agree with @TheGambitFreak

I'm just not a fan of Vaughan's work. I especially despise Runaways with a passion.

@Menks123 - I've caught some bits of the Point Break remake on TV. What I've seen was really bad (especially when they re-did the firing gun in the air scene).

And it's a shame, Edgar Ramirez and Teresa Palmer are in it and I enjoy them, but they can't save it.
