WESTWORLD: Last Night's Episode Contained Some Amazing And Surprising GAME OF THRONES Easter Eggs

Game of Thrones reached a disappointing end last year, but there were some downright amazing nods to the series during last night's Westworld which revealed something very unexpected. Check it out...

Last night's episode of Westworld finally connected that HBO series to another, as we learned that "Park 4" appears to be a Game of Thrones-themed world! As Bernard and Stubbs made their way through the backstage lab areas, we initially see a man dressed in black and gold, an apparent nod to the Baratheons.

Not convinced? Well, we're then shown Game of Thrones showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff gloating over the fact that they've just managed to sell one of the dragons that inhabits "Park 4"! Shortly after this, we see one of Cersei Lannister's gowns on a dummy, along with images of a number of real-life locations which were used in the series to double for Westeros and Essos.

Musiscians are also shown playing the Westworld theme on stringed instruments, a style composer Ramin Djwandi used for his Game of Thrones work; the highlight of this sequence, however, comes when Stubbs kills the security guards with a double-headed axe as some hosts eat and drink in the background (similar to a certain Red Wedding).

With that, it's basically become canon that Game of Thrones is just another Park in Westworld, and while we're unlikely to explore this any further given the direction this season is heading in, it's certainly fun to think about what that means for the series that adapted George R.R. Martin's novels.

@Doomsday8888 - yeah, this was a great episode, even better than the first one (but I understand why it was episode 2 instead of 1).

@HeavyMetal4Life
Yeah, storywise it makes sense to start with the Dolores one, even from a storytelling point of view.

@Doomsday8888 - I did not expect almost the entire episode to be situated in Westworld and a simulation of the Delos parks. Being in the real world is cool and all and has fascinating potential, but you can't really beat the parks (real or simulated).

So now these are the parks that we know about:
- Westworld
- The Raj
- Shogun World
- War World
- Medieval/Game of Thrones World

This means we have one park remaining.

Also, in that scene with the dragon when one of the GoT guys is talking about an island off Costa Rica, I immediately thought about Jurassic Park...

@Doomsday8888 - yeah, I'm sure its too good to be true, just seemed like a weird throw away line about Costa Rica, especially since Michael Crichton wrote both.
