WESTWORLD: New Spoiler Photos & Behind-The-Scenes Featurette Released From Tonight's Jaw-Dropping Finale

Following tonight's jaw-dropping season finale, HBO has released a ton of spoiler stills and an awesome ten-minute behind-the-scenes featurette, offering more insight into the hour's biggest moments.

Tonight's season three finale ended with the beginning of the apocalypse, as Los Angeles literally went up in flames after Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), Caleb (Aaron Paul) and Maeve (Thandie Newton) finally came together as a unit to put an end to Serac's (Vincent Cassel) reign. However, while they did technically emerge as the winners, the cost of victory was unmeasurably high as Dolores met her end when all of her memories were erased from existence.

Then, in the post-credits scene, things got even more interesting as William (Ed Harris) confronted Charlotte Hale (Tessa Thompson) and got the surprise of a lifetime when he found himself face-to-face with... himself! Yes, Charlotte created a host version of the Man in Black, who made quick work of the human William and slit his throat. We thgen saw the camera panning over to Charlotte's robotic assembly line of new hosts.

We also got one final tease as Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) awoke from his extended trip to the Sublime, covered in post-apocalyptic dust, and hopefully, with a lot of answers. Now, the wait for Season 4 begins!

Off topic: I don't hate it, but it kinda looks like he plays for the New York Islanders. 😁

@Feralwookiee - Also if the rumors are true, that his helmet allows his to copy fight moves. They just turned him into Prometheus

Wish I liked this show more. 3 seasons in and I still dont care about any character except Ghost Nation. This show looks great but its emotionally hallow to me. The twists arent as clever as they use to be.
Ill keep tuning in just to see how it ends.

The finale was anticlimactic, and the post credit scene was horrible. Really thought they'd stick the landing.

Finale was kind of weak

The best parts of the finale was the last 15 minutes...the rest seemed to kinda drag. Bummer for an over solid season though.

I think a lot of it had to do with them focusing too much on turning Maeve. I never once thought it made any sense for her to be so loyal to Serac to begin with and her turning was inevitable.

This was a suitably epic finale. I’m hyped to see the Mad Max shenanigans that will be going down next season. Sucks we have to wait two years, though.

And the post credit scene was wild! Love that we’ve come full circle and the OG Man in Black has been born.

What an amazing finale. Great season. The wait until next season is going to feel way too long.

Season 1 and 2 were/are better, I think what it is I like the other worlds more.

This season should have been the final season, you know the hosts come to our world and try and take it over.

Hmmm. I just finished and now I'm a bit torn. There were parts of this finale that were great, but there were also parts that were either kind of dumb or illogical, or just straight up frustrating.

I found it unbelievable that not a single highly trained military police member could handle their weapon well against Dolores, kind of ruined those scenes a bit for me. I also found Maeve's turn against Serac to be a bit too predictable and not that well set up, and it just did't really make that much sense in my opinion. Finally, I found that William's seemingly demise at the end of the first post credit scene (which started out great, this scene) to be highly frustrating. I really hope he isn't dead, of all the human characters he is the one that should survive the longest. If he is dead that really undercuts the William character quite a bit. He had just achieved some purpose in his role in this world, we finally started to see him act on it, and if he is killed off then that would be pretty poor writing.

I did like some of the ideas being expressed in the finale, especially that Serac was just delaying the inevitable with the human race. And luckily Serac did not die (I was really worried he would), so that leaves me hopeful that he will appear in season 4, as he was the breakout new character this season.

This season was not as strong as the previous two, that is clear. I think its a mixed bag of why this was the case. Its clear that the move outside of the parks resulted in this season losing some of its sparkle. The best episodes this season were the ones centered around either the parks (episode 2) or William (episodes 4, 6). Bernard was too much of a secondary character this season and at times his story was just dangling there. Caleb wasn't as interesting of character and got a bit old as the season went on, which didn't help as the season focused on him more and more. But perhaps biggest of all, this season should have been a couple episodes longer. There was a lot forced into the last several episodes and we had multiple storylines playing out in the finale which should have been spread out over more than one episode.

Westworld ranking:
1. Season 2
2. Season 1
3. Season 3
