WESTWORLD Season 3 Plot Details Revealed; First Look At The Returning Evan Rachel Wood As Dolores

Thanks to the teaser trailer that was released back in May, we know Westworld season 3 is going to be set quite a few years after the events of season 2, but we now have quite a bit more to go on.

For starters, the narrative is going to be a lot more straightforward.

“This is season is a little less of a guessing game and more of an experience with the hosts finally getting to meet their makers,” co-showrunner Jonathan Nolan reveals to EW. “I love shows that find a groove and hang with it for 100 episodes — that was never this show.”

Although the story will pick up directly after the season 2 finale, we will eventually jump forward to near-future LA and catch up with Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) who has struck up a friendship (relationship?) with a construction worker named Caleb (Aaron Paul).

“Aaron’s character will challenge Dolores’ notions about the nature of humanity,” Nolan says. “He’s the type of person who doesn’t get to go to Westworld.”

Nolan wouldn't spill the beans on which other familiar faces we'd be bumping into, but we do know that Jeffrey Wright (Bernard) and Thandie Newton (Maeve) are likely to return.

Westworld season 3 is set to premiere on HBO next year. Get your first glimpse of a far more modern-looking Dolores below.

I thought Season 2 ended with Dolores being Tessa Thompson. I wonder how they're going to clear that up.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - I think there was more than one of her, at the very least she could fabricate a new body and upload herself

I love this show. But I'll never feel for the toasters. Long live humanity.

Made sense that L.A. would be advanced and has a futuristic look with the things and tech they had inside those place for those digitally themed parks. These hosts are now out of their element and meeting Aaron Paul's character is a nice way of putting them off their "comfort zone" so to speak.

Hmm.

Off-topic: Arrow ups Ben Lewis (Will Clayton) to series regular as well for the final Season.

And this Batwoman banner (wished it was in HD, maybe later) is pretty sweet too.

I know a lot of people felt that season 2 was needlessly confusing, but I still enjoyed it. I am glad they are getting out of the park and exploring the fictional world. They do need to bring back the man in black because he's the breakout character of the shoe and I love the fact that his arc is one big Greek tragedy.

@CurlyBill - season 2 was even better than season 1. Not everything in life should be given to and explained to us up front. The challenge makes stuff interesting.

@CurlyBill - He is back in the far future (maybe centuries) if you watched the after credits scene.

A copy of him, I mean, like James Delos in the bunker, but I guess they improved the tech after so much time, since a host copy of his daughter was also there.

I just hope they find a way to incorporate the player piano. The song covers were one of the main reasons I liked the show so much.

Yeah, i was really not a fan of S2, but this already looks promising, especially after reading this:
"This is season is a little less of a guessing game and more of an experience"

Phew, now you just know they wont pull some bs or write their plot exclusively aimed at bringin some stupid twist along the way.
That shit really killed S2.
