AGENT CARTER; A Build-Up To Something Bigger?

AGENT CARTER; A Build-Up To Something Bigger?

AGENT CARTER has delighted many fans of either Hailey Attwell or the Marvel Cinematic Universe, even though we haven't seen too much connections to the movies of the MCU, Season 2 might unveil a major connection and it's not the DOCTOR STRANGE connection...

We have seen that AGENT CARTER is a good show (It's not the best, neither the worst, but it delivers a good show to the fans) and we all have been wanting to see a lot of things in this TV Show like: Madame Masque (using a mask), Count Nefaria, William Burnside and more Arnim Zola!

Thinking about the Arnim Zola surprise cameo at the end of the first season, I came up with a theory that may sound ridiculous for some, but this could be a good tie-in to the Winter Soldier storyline.

In SEASON 1 the main villains were DOCTOR FAUSTUS and DOTTIE UNDERWOOD, but Dr. Faustus stole the spotlight at the end of the last episode (Valediction) when he is put in prison and meets Arnim Zola (played by Toby Jones), Red Skull's former right hand, as we all know thanks to CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, Arnim Zola played a very big role in the process of turning Bucky Barnes into the Winter Soldier.

"I am familiar with your work on the matters of the mind, Herr Doktor."
- Arnim Zola to Doctor Faustus

Honestly, I think the only project Arnim Zola could work with Doctor Faustus is transferring his mind into a computer (as seen in Captain America: The Winter Soldier) and construct the mind control/brainwash machine used on Bucky Barnes AKA Winter Soldier.

But wait! There's more, we saw that apart of being brainwashed, HYDRA'S top mercenary was also frozen with cryogenics and only be unfrozen when he was really needed. So we know that the brainwash machine may come from Arnim Zola and Doctor Faustus, but... where does the cryogenic freezing technology come from?

That's right! The (so far) main villains of SEASON 2 of AGENT CARTER are the most likeable to be the creators of this technology and adapt it for HYDRA's use with the Winter Soldier. After all, the name of the main villain is Whitney Frost... and we have seen that Ms. Carter is working on a big case involving a frozen body and darkforce...

"Nothing good ever happens when you work with something called 'dark force'."

I expect that at the end of the season, Arnim Zola will somehow also make contact with Whitney Frost to speak about a very important project, the creation of a mercenary and a way to maintain him alive for a several amount of years without aging.

I know the theory is very unlikely and crazy, but if it indeed turns out to be true, AGENT CARTER could have a bigger tie and impact to the MCU than Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Do you think that AGENT CARTER could have a big tie-in to the Winter Soldier? Sound off in the comments.
