ABC Releases A Ton Of Hi-Res Stills From The Emotional Series Finale Of Marvel's AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

Finally, an Agents of SHIELD finale article that isn't opinionated clickbait nonsense.

My thoughts on the final 2 episodes and the end of SHIELD after 7 years, copied from a different article:

That was one hell of a final two episodes. They really went all out, and man did they freaking deliver. Epic final 2 episodes, epic conclusion to the best comic book show, period. The whole infiltration into the Chronicom ships, the rescue and fights, the escape and reunion with Fitz, and the subsequent re-infiltration of the Chronicom ships was great, so thrilling and tense and well done.

When they revealed that hidden room in the bar, and I saw those panels hanging from the ceiling, I knew exactly what we were looking at- same design and concept as what Stark came up with. What a moment it was when Fitz came through in the S5 helmet, god that was glorious. So great to have him back again (and I did enjoy the added Enoch scenes too, even though he had died episode 9, he really was with us in these final 3 episodes). Loved that they connected with Endgame in this way with the usage of the quantum-realm time travel, and it perfectly explained (with a little demonstration from Fitz, lol) just what this season was and how it connected to the original time line. They really did cover all their bases.

And it goes without saying that the VFX work was top notch, cinematic, second to none. That was superior quality VFX that was worthy of standing along the sides of, and hell even rivaling in some cases, VFX work in the MCU movies. These 2 episodes probably had some of the best VFX the show has ever done, and some of the best effects I've ever seen on TV.

I really liked Nathaniel in these final two episodes, thought they were probably his two finest episodes of the season. In terms of a villain, he was a good B or secondary level villain.

They wrapped everything up so well for all of the characters. I said in another comment that I thought they left things a bit open-ended in the sense that I could very well see some or all of this team return down the road, either elsewhere in the MCU or in a reunion mini-series event. And hell they even brought Flint and Piper back, which was a thread that seemed they had forgotten. Just goes to show how much they thought out these two seasons, now you can tell that they planned stuff in the final episodes of S6 knowing what would have in the final episode of S7.

Here's to you, Agents of SHIELD, the best of the best. Its been one hell of an amazing ride with the sow, some of the best television out there over much of the past decade. Not just the best comic book show, but one of the best shows, period. The show has been such a seminal part of my MCU viewing experience, and it (along with say Arrow) has been a big part of my small-screen cinematic joys of my young adult life. And this chapter, of Marvel TV, of the MCU, of television in general, has just come to a close. Thank you, SHIELD.
