With all the twists and turns surrounding the Framework on
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. lately, it might be easy to forget that
Agent May has been there longer than any of her teammates. The S.H.I.E.L.D. veteran was taken prisoner by Dr. Radcliffe and Aida in episode 8 of the season, replaced by a
Life Model Decoy that believed it was the real May for quite some time. Due to the replacement's programming, it also ended up acting on May's romantic interest for
Phil Coulson, something that threw him off upon discovering the LMD's true nature.
In a new clip from next week's episode, "The Return", Coulson and May finally reunite after escaping the Framework and formulate a plan to take on the Superior, all while Coulson awkwardly hesitates to inform May of what happened while she was M.I.A.
