AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.: Daisy Discovers Her Life In The Framework In A New Clip From "What If..."

In a new clip from next week's return of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daisy (or is it Skye again?) discovers just who is lying in her bed, along with the rest of her new life within the Framework world.

While the last episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. let us in on the secret, a new clip from next Tuesday's episode "What If..." finally reveals to Daisy that Grant Ward is lying in her bed. Daisy is shocked, as she was expecting a different dead man to be under the covers (specifically her old flame Lincoln), and she instinctively tries "quaking" Ward to a surprising result - she has no powers in the artificial world of the Framework.

In addition to discovering Ward is "alive" again, Daisy also gets a look at her new ID badge, which shows she's an operative of Hydra Homeland Strategic Defense, and is using the name Skye again. H.H.S.D. may not have the same ring as S.H.I.E.L.D., but it's bound to get more dangerous as "Skye" gets used to her new surroundings.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns with "What If..." on April 4, 2017.

Pretty positive about this season so far and I've been missing the show on its break. Fingers crossed it gets renewed for a fifth, or at a least half-season.

@Spock0Clock - It'll get one more, I think.

@MattBellissimo - The places I trust on these kinds of predictions are right on the bubble, so... all I can say is I hope so.

On the other hand, I'm pretty sure ABC canceling it could lead to another round of "Marvel doesn't care about Asian people". Which would at least be worthy of some popcorn gifs.

@Spock0Clock - I would hope there would be more maturity in that regard. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is one of the most diverse shows on TV and it's all the better for it.

Cancellation would be unfortunate, especially since the show has been on such a roll, but the implication that cancellation is indicative of any sort of racial bias is a stretch too far.

@MattBellissimo - Oh, I agree. But after "Danny Rand is Whitewashing", I don't think anything is out of the realm of possibility.

@theoreproject - Oh, you KNOW it's going to say Skye Ward.

Shippers everywhere are gonna lose it.

@MattBellissimo - I've been shipping Skye with Fitz/Simmons since season one. When will I get to have my polyamorous dreams realized? Someday... someday...

Don't make me post Skimmons shipping videos from Youtube. I'll do it, and there are a lot of them.

Though, they do use the same ~5 minutes of video from a show with something like 60 hours of airtime. Shipping videos are awesome. lol

Uh-oh... I should not have done this. Youtube Marvel shipping videos are all fun and games until you watch one that gets its hooks in you...

Going back to a non powered Skye is an interesting twist. She was kind of a badass even before she got powers. This is going to be interesting.

I think the twist could be that HYDRA are actually the good guys here while the Inhumans might be an actual dangerous threat. Would explain why the final subarc is (lamely) named "Agents of HYDRA", because in order to get the rest out they also have to act and work with HYDRA to deal with whatever threat exist inside the Framework.

And because it'd be too predictable and boring to see Ward be once again just another bad guy in this virtual reality. I'd like there to be a subversion.

And a new art style promo.

The bit with skye raising her hand to 'quake' Ward....and ward mocking her arm gesture was genius and funny.

DAMN...I missed this show!

Maybe this time Ward chooses Daisy over everything and that makes her think about him like a good guy.
