Hail Hydra! Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns next Tuesday with a whole new world for the team, most of whom are trapped in the virtual reality of the Framework, thanks to Aida. Despite Coulson and co. living their lives free of one personal regret, the shadow of Hydra looms over the Framework, with the villainous organization in control of the world after seemingly not being stopped during their attempted takeover in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and season 1 of Agents.

The latest poster from ABC has put the spotlight on Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his role as a teacher in this new world, complete with anti-Inhuman lessons, a history book titled "How Hydra Saved America", and a mysterious blue folder about "The Cambridge Incident". It will be interesting to see the full scope of Hydra's takeover when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns on April 4th, 2017.

This is great! AOS is just so out of the box. The writers really know how to craft some imaginative storylines.

@BlackBeltJones - I'm a very sarcastic person. This comment just broke my daily allowance.

That's a messed up Coulson.

OFF! can we have a GITS reviews article? I'm extremely impressed that it's 70% at RT

No way I though it would go that high.

Stoked for the third story arc on AoS! Season 4 has been absolutely great and a lot of fun as far as network TV goes. It'll be interesting to see what direction they go for Season 5.

It's quite good.

The official Twitter account has also been releasing "regrets" snippets to give an idea of why they have those lives inside the Framework.

Some of them I think, include some new audio dialogue from the new episodes.

I have to say, I think it's bittersweet that the Netflix shows are so unattached to the larger MCU, that they make AOS feel in-continuity. All it would take is something as simple as "Rand Industries" on the side of a truck in Spider-Man: Homecoming or The Defenders asking if they should "invite the guy that dresses like a spider...a brightly colored spider".

Never, in a million years, would I have thought I'd say this. But, Agents of SHILED is handling continuity better than the Netflix shows.
