AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5 Debuts January 2018

Marve's Inhumans miniseries will premiere its 8-episode run this Fall, which is usually when ABC rolls out another season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. However, for the show's fifth season, it moves to a winter premiere date - January 2018 and will run for 22 episodes with no interruptions.

The news comes by way of Mark Kolpack, a VFX Supervisor on the show who shared the news with fans, via Twitter.

Where would you like the show to venture next? Should it tie-in with what's occurring in the Inhumans series or explore more of Ghost Rider's supernatural world? Let us know in the comment section below.

More Ghost Rider, less Inhumans.

@ArkhamClown - This will be a space adventure

@Goldboink - Well they need a new hero to aid them in this space adventure. Because Season 4 was AoS best season ever and that was because of Ghost Rider.

They should introduce Moon Dragon as an escaped Daughter of Thanos. Whom joins S.W.O.R.D to prepare them for the day Thanos ever descends on Earth.

The reason Coulson and his team arrive in space is because MoonDragon knows Thanos is questing the infinity stones and she has the location of one but they will need to build a team to retrieve it.

Call it Agents of Shield: Moondragon

@SonOfAGif - The season will be post-Ragnarok and setting up Infinity War. SWORD makes a ton of sense as the threat from other worldly beings will be building. Bring it on!

@ArkhamClown - It's funny and interesting how, for example, The Flash is accused of having "too many speedsters" and also villians that use the Speed Force but Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has also been since Season 1 about Inhumans. Villains that want to get non-human powers to heal themselves (Garrett) or straight-out Inhumans (Jiaying and Hive) or the latest case, AIDA. Each plot one way or other ends up leading to an Inhuman evil plan or conspiracy or to fight an Inhuman final boss.

AoS has it's own kind of "too many Inhumans" issue.

For four seasons, I TRIED to enjoy the series. It just never worked for me. There were a couple great episodes, but overall, it was lackluster. I will not be rejoining the show in January, but do look forward to Inhumans actually being a good show, hopefully...
