"Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films, as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson's team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage; Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), expert pilot and martial artist; Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), brilliant engineer; and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker, Skye (Chloe Bennet).


Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres Tuesday, September 24 at 8PM on ABC.

Coulson doesn't make a great tough guy character. I think they are playing him wrong. He is better when he's swooning over Captain America and be the courageous little guy. Instead they are making him this tough guy Nick Fury type character. Silly. I'll watch but this guy should have stayed dead. Maria Hill would have been a better centerpiece for Agents of Shield.

I don't get from the trailers that they're portraying Coulson a tough guy character. Yeah, when there's urgency, he's a firm boss, but in all the other scenes we've seen, he kind of a funny, quirky guy. He's pretty much the same Coulson we've seen in the Marvel films.

"Don't touch Lola." Guys arrogant and no longer loveable. It seems as they are trying to make SHIELD seem honorable and they are not that. SHIELD manipulates the world by any means necessary for "our" safety. I don't need SHIELD being the good guy, I like it when they play in the gray areas. That's why Winter Soldier seems so interesting. See Night of Condor with Robert Redford and see how SHIELD should be portrayed.

IMO it looks terrible, never really cared about Coulson in the films and I still dont now. Just not seeing anything that's telling me to "watch it". I'll wait for responses from people who watch similar shows to me before deciding whether i'll give it a shot.

Eh, the more I see of this show the less interesting it looks. It just looks so cheesy and bland. Even the guy with superpowers is "Random black guy with generic super strength/speed/endurance powers." And half of the leads look like tween hipsters in skinny jeans and Converse.

I agree. Captain America TWS is my most anticipated Phase 2 movie along w/GOTG.

At the very least, I want the superherostore to make and sell a great SHIELD hoodie.

Word from those who saw the episode at SDCC was VERY positive, but I was sold before then, I can see what potential this show would have and I trust Joss to exploit that.
