Clark Gregg Teases Superheroes Appearing In AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D,

While appearing at Monday night's world premiere of Marvel's 'Thor: The Dark World', Clark Gregg spoke extensively about what's to come in the next few episodes of Agent's Of SHIELD. “We have another episode coming up that really connects to Thor: The Dark World and kind of may contain some additional story elements. I can’t spoil anything, but it’s great to be connective tissue. That what I was. Now, it’s what the show is,” said Gregg. “And it’s nice when they get to the part where there might be some superheroes and some fighting, and they don’t say Coulson’s gone now. They say, ‘Coulson suit up.’”.

Clark states that while the next few episodes will give the audience a better look at the show's "grander plans.". The real question came when he was asked about the eventual reveal of exactly what happened to Coulson after his run in with Loki's staff "I'm not disappointed. Joss [Whedon] gave me a kind of vague answer, and it was as complex and dark as you might expect from him,"

What heroes would you guys like to see later in the season, if any? Keeping in mind that whoever shows up on the show likely won't appear in a movie anytime soon (unless it's a high profile cameo) who are you most comfortable with being restricted to the small screen?

If they introduce Inhumans in the films, it could create great stories for this show if it lasts to Phase 3.

I'm digging the show so far, I was surprised that -

*SPOILERS*

- they didn't kill Simmons, especially since it's a Joss Whedon show... That being said I'm not entirely disappointed that they didn't, but it could have done wonders for Fitz as a character (dealing with her death etc) and shown that the show isn't afraid to take risks.

This show has been going from bad to quite good in yhe last 3 episodes. Almost gave up on it but it looks like they found the seeet spot. Can't wait to see where things go in the future and how it will connect to the MCU

@frova

I was thinking the same thing about Fitz before the episode was over, but it seems like the effect may be the same for his character without needing to kill her off.

All the hints pointing towards Coulson being a robot/LMD on last night episodewas overwhelming.
"Feeling rusty."
"Too much Iron."
Etc.

I wonder how long it will be until the reveal.

I wish they would have killed both Fitz and Simmons. And Jojo, the girl is Simmons. I would have been happy if she would have died. But noooooo. But Ward does a HALO jump in street clothes. Way to steal Cap's thunder.

And can this show please stop name dropping. It's embarassing. Let's guess the Avenger who will be named next week. Hey has there been any Hawkeye love. No one has mentioned him at all. Even these lames don't respect Renner's Hawkeye.

Gage, are they still drawing out that ridiculous "How is Coulson here" angle? Reason #98 as to why I haven't watched since episode 1.

Loved last night's episode. This show has gotten better each week. How bout Taskmaster or Moon Knight put on the show. That would be good.

To expect every episode to be amazing or even GOOD is impractical. The only show I've ever seen where every single episode was top notch, was Breaking Bad and that was an anomaly. With TV I've learned to accept the good with the bad, because there are generally stinkers tossed into every series.

I don't hate or even dislike the show, but I don't think it's that great. AOS is a very average show. They have been playing it very safe so far. The last couple of episodes are a huge improvement, but it still needs something. I don't have a problem with the comedy, I just feel that a lot of the comedy isn't that funny. When it's a joke that is so obvious and set up it literally spells "THIS IS A JOKE - ENTER LAUGHTER". The comedy needs to be a bit more fluid and more realized. Agent May is by far the best character and it's because they are treating her with respect. She is the only one that is actually acting like a SHIELD agent. They havent really told us anything about her, but we know who she is based on how she reacts to certain situations. Ming Na is also superb in the role. Coulson is Coulson which is great, the dialogue is pretty cheese some times, I hope Clark Gregg starts improvising more. Every other character is so damn bland. I want Agent Ward to really be a SHEILD Agent. I think It's the actor portraying him that just doesnt sell it. I unno THIS SHOW NEEDS WORK.

Coulson is most likely a cyborg now but I wouldn't mind a Skrull touch either.

Ultima, which was that? The Flying? Putting on the suit?

But really, how important is Coulson - you are comapring Phil Coulson to Supes, no?. Do you really need to drag out the answer for a character like that?

I really wanted to like the show, but it's made for teenagers and it has to be insulting to some teens by now.

I'm sticking with the notion that the life model decoy line was a throwaway gag thrown in for fan reference and I highly doubt it'll be a canon element. It seems way too much a cop out.

Last night's episode was the best one yet IMO. I hope we get some more new characters from the comics. Tying in an episode to newly released movies is a great idea.
