Franklin Hall AKA 'Graviton' Will Feature In AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D Ep 103 "The Asset"

Marvel has just released the official synopsis for the third episode of ABC's upcoming S.H.I.E.L.D tv series. In this installment, Coulson and co. will attempt to rescue a kidnapped scientist named Franklin Hall..but will we see him become the supervillain Graviton?

"The Asset" – When the brilliant scientist, Dr. Franklin Hall, is kidnapped, Agent Coulson and his S.H.I.E.L.D. agents must race against the clock to locate him. Skye is their only way in--pushing the team to their limits when the entire plan turns upside-down"

Dr. Franklin Hall, in the comics at least, was actually the supervillain 'Graviton'! After am experiment caused graviton particles to merge with his own molecules, Hall later discovered that he could mentally control gravity. He eventually turns to crime, donning a costume and adopting the above alias. Will this version of the character follow suit? Well, I reckon this accident awaits him right at the end of the ep, perhaps setting up an appearance from Graviton later on on the series. Could this be the character Ian Hart will play? We know it's a scientist!

Oh snap!!

I think too many of us had forgotten that there are far more villains than heroes in comics (hence the term Rogues Gallery), so we're very likely to see many bad guys who were just not big screen material.

Break out your Marvel encyclopedias, folks...

It would be cool if he turns into Graviton on the show and then have him go up against the Avengers in the sequel

Prediction: If AoS makes it to season 4, that's when we'll start to see full guest appearances by the Avengers. And that's when the show will go downhill.

Never happen in my opinion.

For starters...who's playing Graviton on the show?

I'm sure they'd want an A-list actor to play the villain in the movies, so that would mean they'd have to get someone relevant and with a name to play in the TV series for less than half the salary they would normally get for showing their face on camera.

I doubt any of the villains in the show will end up in the films, but some of the villains from the film will be mentioned and possible seen on the show in some form or another.

If its me, and im an actor, I would take a 60% pay cut to do 3 tv episodes if it ment I got to get my 100% to play the same character in the biggest franchise out right now.

Yes, this what I'm talking about! Always thought graviton would be a perfect adversary for the Avengers. Still seeing him at all is good enough. :D

I doubt it. It'll be like how Dr. Markov showed up in Arrow as a scientist working on the earthquake device, instead of being Geo-Force.

That was such a bada$$ fight on EMH! I remember thinking that if the rest of the series was just as awesome as that was I would be one happy camper. Wasn't disappointed!!

We will eventually see Graviton, I'm sure.

This is a very smart way to use the show...You can create the origins for SEVERAL heroes and villains.

For example, I LOVE count Nefaria, and allthough he is now kinda an evil superman-type villian, he didn't start off like that, he was always a mastermind. A pre-powered Count Nefaria can give SHIELD and even some guest heroes all kinds of havok to deal with.

I bet you would.

Now, are you an A-list actor?
There's a difference.

One of them being that an A-list actor wouldn't need to do the spin-off TV show to get in the biggest franchise out right now.

That's what the agents are for.

graviton is the shit and seriously underrated - in a movie or show his brains and powers give the avengers real trouble - it would be super epic to see those effects on the movie screen

They could use a less well known actor and have him cross over into a future film. It's been done before.

Wow! Graviton in Agents of SHIELD? If he does become the super villain then I will tune in to Agents of SHIELD on the 24th and if he does become the actual super villain, then I guess he will have to do since Mandarin ended up a failure in Iron Man 3 due to Marvel's lack of intentions on doing the power rings over their excuses and realitybent intents

@Humperdink

Do you even know what an "A-List" actor is?
