"Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films, as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson's team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage; Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), expert pilot and martial artist; Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), brilliant engineer; and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker, Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres Tuesday, September 24 at 8PM on ABC.

i think the humor might not be working for some people because its dry humor and sometimes thats not akin to some peoples sense of humor,i am just saying

i didn't like the acting..there is a lot of room for improvement.. the effects weren't as good as i was expecting and it was all very predictable.
6/10 for me.

Totally agree with *Rebellion*. The show needs to lay off some of the predictable jokes and honestly the acting is TERRIBLE. Just terrible.

It was decent..not great,not bad.
I see the potential. Acting is average,no one really shines, hope that changes.

Feels like a tv show which is odd considering how my quality tv shows now feel more theatrical in their presentations. It's not a deal breaker really.

I liked the little riff on "With Great Power.. " and the mention on "Journey Into Mystery".
Comic book fans appreciate that stuff.

The acting was Not terrible..at all. Some of teh dialog was though, and that took away from the perfoirmabces a bit.

As for the humor..it's pure Whedon. He toned that down a bit for The Avengers but fans of any of his tv work will recognize his stamp a mile away. Lots of gags and one liners..some hit, some don't.

I'm sorry but I'm just not really into Clark Gregg's wooden acting.
I never have been.

But the rest of the cast are great.
I can't get over how beautiful Elizabeth Henstridge is. Woah.

Loved It!

I thought it was a great companion to the Marvel Movie Universe. Much more than I thought it would be.

I thought the episode was really fun, which is what I was expecting.

There WAS a little too much humor, but pilots are often weird and not indicative of the season. Overall I loved it though!

I do love Whedon's humour, it's subtle and doesn't try desperately to get huge laughs.
But something about the cinematography is off, it looks quite "amateur", I can't put my finger on it.

Nothing interesting is shown... no cb-villains, no cameos, no new characters from marvel universe...

What about raitings? Does the pilot flopped?

DC's "Arrow" is much better, there are a lot of character from DC comic books. "Agents of SHIELD" sucks...

No cameos? Were you listening? There were a ton of references. Watch it again.

I really enjoyed it but they gotta rein in the Skye character her shtick is going to wear thin fast. I liked the humor overall a really good episode. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I am curious if they will actually feature not reference other Superheroes or Villains in the show. Seems to me they will stick with the spy vs spy story line, investigating odd events etc...

For a pilot, it was pretty damn good. Most series improve majorly by the first season finale though.

I found it ok, there is room for improvement though. I think it has the potential to become a good show.
