It is an exciting time for a Comic Book fan
Not mentioning the crazy amounts of comic book movie adaptations that are headed our way,
There is a possibly a record holding amount of comic related television shows for fans to drool over.

Starting of with shows we haven't seen before

Lucifer
FOX's adaptation from the comic book series by the same name written by Mike Carey, both published by DC Comics and Vertgo.
The series will focus on Lucifer, "who is bored and unhappyas the Lord of Hell and resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the beauty of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals. (Seems a bit IZOMBIE'ish)
The response to the pilot in Comic-Con was positive.

The selling point for me was the controversy about this TV shows airing.
On May 28, 2015, AFA website One Million moms launched a petition to prevent the show's airing. The petition says the new series "will glorify Satan as a caring, likable person in human flesh. One Million Moms posted the petition on aforementioned date and thus far, 27,085 "concerned mothers" have have asked Fox to cancel the program by signing the petition. The petition on the AFA website, which was also posted on the same date, has garnered the support of over 132,172 "concerned viewers."

Against the petition submitted by the right-wing Christian group, the character's co-creator, Neil Gaiman, reacted on his Tumblr page saying: "Ah. It seems like only yesterday (but it was 1991) that the “Concerned Mothers of America” announced that they were boycotting SANDMAN because it contained Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Trans characters. It was Wanda that upset them most: the idea of a Trans Woman in a comic book… They told us they were organising a boycott of SANDMAN, which they would only stop if we wrote to the American Family Association and promised to reform. I wonder if they noticed it didn’t work last time, either…"

Release Date 2016

Jessica Jones
Following a tragic end to her brief superhero career ,Jessica Jones tries to rebuild her life as a private investigator, dealing with cases involving people with remarkable abilities in New York City.
With a great cast and cameo appearances from Luke Cage Night Nurse and many more.
Not much else to say about this show, looks awesome (high expectations).

Release Date 2015

Legends of Tomorrow

Rip Hunter travels back in time to the present day where he brings together a team of heroes and villains in an attempt to prevent Vandal Savage from destroying the world and time itself.
While I personally wasn't a big fan of the Atom on Arrow season 3 (or season 3 in general),
i'm still interested in a DC's version of the defenders.
It's gonna be interesting to see new characters like Rip Hunter,
Hawk Girl and White Canary (lame name :/ ).

Release Date 2016

Supergirl

Twenty-four-year-old Kara Zor-El, who was taken in by the Danvers family when she was 13 after being sent away from Krypton, must learn to embrace her powers after previously hiding them. The Danvers teach her to be careful with her powers, until she has to reveal them during an unexpected disaster, setting her on her journey of heroism.
It will be interesting to see if they crossover with the Flash or Arrow,
considering that they are both CW shows,
while supergirl is on CBS (DC shows not on the CW don't have a good track record...)
Not to hype about this show, looking a bit to much smallvile'ish for my taste, but i'm down for giving it a try.

Release Date 2015 October 26th

Vixen

Not really a "show", but a interesting new web series, that is in the same CW superhero universe.

After her parents were killed in Africa by local corruption, Mari McCabe inherits her family's Tantu Totem, gaining the powers of animals, using them to fight as Vixen to stop threats like those that claimed her family.
The series has Oliver Queen, Barry Allen and Felicity Smoak (let's hope she doesnt cry for Oliver the throughout the whole series) all voiced by the actors who play them.

Release Date 2015 August 25th

Now let's move on to the shows that have been renewed for a next season (R.I.P. Constantine)

Daredevil Season 2
For all the people who saw the first season, there isn't much to say.
The show is amazing, most viewed series on Netflix,
and a strong start for the upcoming Marvel Netflix series.

The second season is already getting everybody aboard the hype train,
with the announced characters in the show like the highly anticipated Punisher and hopefully a good version of Electra.

Overall the upcoming season is looking incredible.

Release Date 2016

Agent Carter Season 2
After seeing the beginning of Peggy's career in Captain America the First Avenger,
And the end in Captain America The Winter Soldier,
This show does an amazing job of filling in the blanks.
Without mentioning the great humor and characters in the show,

It gives us an origin to how S.H.I.E.L.D. was started, and a brief backstory
To the Black Widow program.
I would really recommend catching up with Season 1 and not skipping the series,
There really isn't anything like it on current television.

Release Date Early 2016

Arrow Season 4
After season three that had mixed feelings,
The show coming back for a 4th season,
But this time it isn't as Arrow or the Hood,
But as Green Arrow. With the hopes of the character
becoming more like his Comic Book version,
less brooding and more of a joking
wisecracker.

Release Date 2015 October 7th

The flash Season 2
The Flash in one year alone, became a fan favorite.
With the ratings of the show beating Arrow's,
That had a 3 year head start, the Flash is running
towards the second season.
This time dealing with different dimensions,
and versions of characters,
rather then dealing with time travel and metahumans.
With exciting new speedsters coming to the show,
Saying that people are excited for season 2 is a understatement.

Release Date 2015 October 6th

iZombie Season 2
Audiences fell in love with this great show,
At first looking like another generic zombie show,
It surprised with it's originality and tone.
The show decided to take more of a science-y
approach
Rather the comics more of a mystical and take on the story,
Having ghosts and wherewolf's.

Release Date 2015 October 6th

Gotham Season 2
This is what you have been waiting for...Yes the Batman TV show without Batman...
(I don't get how Constantine gets cancelled and this doesn't)

Is James Gordon finally get a moustache ? (Probably not)

Release Date 2015 September 21st

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3
During the third season, in the wake of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s wars with Hydra and the Inhumans,
Coulson begins a secret mission to assemble a team of inhumans
to deal with new threats to the world,
while others are also tracking down members of the group.

Release Date 2015 September 29th

Ash vs. Evil Dead
Not really a Comic Book show, but a amazing show
nevertheless.
A show that brings back the cult classic
Sam Raimi's Evil Dead franchise.
Bruce Campbell is returning as possibly the biggest badass
of all fiction - Ash Williams

Release Date 2015 October 31st

So that about raps up all the Comic Book shows that are coming in the next couple of month's.
Honestly myself as a big Comic fan and just overall nerd since childhood,
Is very happy that we can pic and choose which awesome series to watch,
Because I'm still having flashbacks from the dark days when the only thing
We had was this...

So what shows are you going to watch
this upcoming year ?

Pick wisely, because sitting home and watching TV all day isn't healthy :)

Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Vixen, Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, Flash, Agent Carter and maybe Supergirl are the ones I wanna see the most. I don't really care much for the others. Never heard of Lucifer and IZombie. The only type of comic book stuff I like are the ones that actually feature superheroes and to be fair mostly just DC and Marvel. If it doesn't have people dressing up in costumes and fighting crime then it doesn't interest me no matter how popular it maybe. Granted Agent Carter isn't a costumed superhero but she does originate from a fictional universe that does.

I would recommend you to watch at least a couple of episodes of Ash vs The Evil Dead, and then have your opinion straight :) each episode will only be 30min long so even if you hate it do it for the legend that is Bruce Campbell.
I even started watching Burn Notice for the man, and i actually like it (not for everyone though).
