With Filming set a director and script already being pounded out it is strange that a star has yet to be announced. In terms of a film usually the star and production team is announced up to 2 years before the film is made. We are 2 months out and presumably no one has been announced to star in these films.
My theory is and Jeph Loeb's history would support this. The cast has already been decided. That they cast these shows long ago and are keeping it under wraps for a big unveiling. Not just Daredevil but all 4 shows have already been cast. Before they announced what films they would do they already had a cast in mind.
This would presumably end the rumors of C. Hall as Daredevil because he has said he's spoken to no one about it. There have been rumors of other actors who have been incredibly quiet about playing the Daredevil. Which leads me to the next part. If they do these street level hero Netflix shows they won't have too much cross over to the films except maybe a Dr. Strange film. He could be the bridge between the 2 worlds.
They've announced the set and filming locations, they have a director and writer for bother Daredevil and Jessica Jones, they are set to film in 2 months. They have a cast, they just aren't telling us.
