There's a lot of excitement surrounding the Ms. Marvel TV series coming to Disney+, not least because she's now one of Marvel's most popular characters. Bringing some much-needed diversity to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kamala Khan's introduction promises to be a game-changer.

Remember, her comic book counterpart is an Inhuman, so if Ms. Marvel paves the way for their return to the small screen...well, we're going to eventually get a whole new take on Black Bolt and company!

Ms. Marvel is currently shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, and while Marvel Studios has yet to reveal a first look at the costume, we do have a sizzle reel featuring some snippets of footage from the show. Newcomer Iman Vellani is shown learning that she's been cast as the character, while there are comments from those working on bringing this hero to a live-action setting.

The footage is cool and all, but we shouldn't overlook the fact that Disney has also confirmed that we can expect to see Ms. Marvel "late 2021." Next year is going to be a busy one, folks!

Check out the sizzle reel below:

It has a look I wasn't expecting at all. I quite like it so far.

footage already? god damn, they're really banking on Disney+. and of course, now we see why they won't release the movies on the service, with all the stuff they're cooking they don't need to.

It looks lovely

She's just adorable lmao. Looking forward to this.

I'm in the minority but I found Kamala's dialogue quite annoying in the Avengers game. Hope it's not as dialled up as it was there. Although I think a lot of it had to do with the voice more than anything.

That one shot with the spinning camera has this looking like it'll be very unique stylistically - really banking on the "teen hero" vibe - and I love that.

I hope that some of these series like this, Hawkeye, She-Hulk and Moon Knight will be ongoing like Mando and not just minis like WandaVision, Loki, Secret Invasion and Armor Wars likely are.

Not gonna watch just like the show.

Still apprehensive about this show, but I like the character so hopefully it turns out great

Has a kid friendly vibe, which I don't mind at all. Looking forward! I wonder if Brie will make an appearance.

@Iloverihanna - I feel like she will like maybe a cameo (I hope she will) but Iman Vellani is set to appear in CM2, which is awesome.

Am I the only one who realizes that they're setting up an all-female Young Avengers? Ms. Marvel, Ironheart, Stature, America Chavez, Kate Bishop...

@CapstheMFingMan - And if it wasn't obvious from Feige's comments on She-Hulk, Daredevil is definitely showing up in She-Hulk.

@CapstheMFingMan - ugh just reminds me of that shoe horned scene in endgame

@CapstheMFingMan - I think they're setting up Young Avengers more than all-female Avengers bc teenaged Wiccan/Speed is rumored to make an appearance in WandaVision. And since they're bringing Kang for AntMan3, so I'm hopeful for Ironlad. But I wouldn't mind an all-female Young Avengers tho.

@CapstheMFingMan - I hope Ms. Marvel and Ironheart are not Young Avengers. Keep the team simple with Kate Bishop, Iron Lad, Stature, Wiccan/Speed, Patriot/America Chavez, and Hulkling. Don't include Spider-Man or Yelena Bolova either.

@Vigor - He says it after he finishes introducing Tim Roth and Mark Ruffalo. Something about her being a lawyer for super powered ppl and you never know who might show up. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but to me that was a huge wink and nod.

JstaKIDfrmBKLYN - 12/10/2020, 7:51 PM
@aurorsand146 - I wouldn't mind it either so long as the characters are good and it's not shoved in your face like the girl power moment in Endgame. Cringe.

@RedSheep - I really just want everything to feel and come together naturally. Don't force it. Whoever that means should be included or excluded.

@CapstheMFingMan - Yeah, looks like they're going to go for the all-female thing. Eh.

But DUDE was I excited about that not-so-subtl hint on DD popping up in She-Hulk. Like.... HELL YEAH.

@Franshu - Me and my brother just turned to each other with our jaws hanging and just stared. We were floored. Now I'm buying it even more that he'll show up in SM3. I cannot wait for Charlie Cox on the big screen with Marvel Studios budgeting.

They're gonna have to explain why in the hell do Captian MArvel Posters exist lol especially if she went back to space during the events of Endgame.

Only Explanation is that she's been active on Earth but the signs point to her havin gone back to space :/
aurorsand146
aurorsand146 - 12/10/2020, 7:48 PM
@Snowbirdd - She could've been active on Earth but the biggest reason just comes down to the fact that Kamala Khan has always been a comicbook/superhero nerd, and she's basically a CaptainMarvel fanboy through and through.

Such a nice cinematography. Like many here, I don't know how they're going to address her bieng a Captain Marvel fan since Captain Marvel hasn't been very active on Earth after all...
