Renewed for a second season last May, the new season will premiere on the PlayStation Network on May 31. If you still need to check out Powers and don't have a PlayStation Network subscription, the pilot is available for free on YouTube and the remaining episodes are available on Crackle.  Production values appear to have been increased for the second season which was something many critics highlighted as a negative element of season one.

In discussing Powers at the recent Emerald City Comic-Con, comic book creator Brian Michael Bendis stated, "Every aspect of the show has gotten better.  The second season will focus on the 'Who Killed Retro Girl?' storyline from the comic and will really open up the world of Powers.  Everywhere the show goes will present viewers with something they've never seen on other shows."

The man formerly known as Diamond struggles to cope with the death of Retro Girl only to be awaken and be confronted by the sight of Calista adorned in Retro Girl's costume and exhibiting similar powers.

I loved this show so much. I place it with Daredevil and Flash as my top 3 superhero tv shows. But they have seriously got to find a way to make it more known. Most people have ever heard of it or the PS network. Crackle is not a good fit.

I watched the first season, I wanted to like it because I like the main actor, but Couldn't. I thought this show was terrible.

Bought the first season on blu ray. It was alright, as first seasons go. Eddie Izzard was very good as the baddie. It got it's legs by the end of the season. I'm looking forward to season two.

This is one good thing i'll say about it, Eddie portrayed an interesting villian. I thought he was the only interesting character on the show unfortunately.

Hopefully they increased the visual effects budget. The energy projections etc were the worst elements in my book. I really enjoyed the characters and story.

Glad to see this renewed. The first season was a bit uneven, and the fx were cheap, but the story was great and the characters were excellent.
