Secret Invasion has finished its run on Disney+ and has become the lowest rated show in the MCU, both in terms of viewership and critical reception. With a decline in enthusiasm for various shows on the platform, it may be time to take a step back and look at what has gone wrong with the Disney+ offerings and how they have contributed to the overall decline in quality within the MCU.

The easy culprit is the increase in quantity has led to a decrease in quality, and although that is a major contributing factor- I’m not convinced that it is the biggest or most important one. In this episode of Journey Through Cinema we will explore why Marvel is struggling in their television attempts.

What do you think of the current Disney+ offerings. Are they living up to your expectations or have they been a disappointment or somewhere in the middle. Let me know in the comments down below!

although i have not seen "secret invasion" yet (looking forward to seeing it), but i have enjoyed every show (haven't seen "what if?" either). sure, the writing could be better in some of them...but they are still enjoyable, and i have re-watched some of them (looking at you "moon knight" and "hawkeye") because they are entertaining. i'm sure i will rewatch the others as i go along, especially as a refresher before "loki 2" and "the marvels". the "special presentations" were great, and i do wish there were more. i don't see the MCU being connected whatsoever with the comics, so maybe that helps. i can give it a chance to be it's own thing.

IMO the real REASON the MCU shows are FAILING is that its SIMPLY too much content NOT enough QUALITY. Also its VERY apparent that Marvel Studios has FULLY EMBRACED WOKE Ideology first before any story is put to paper. ACTUALLY I'm not saying there isn't an audience for this and they shouldn't make it BUT I'm NOT one of them. Its just that when their WOKE content fails instead of looking at it to see WHY it failed, they and MANY here just simply blame MEN and their Phobic Toxicity. Until MS straightens out and puts Story and Characters in front of AGENDAS. I WON'T support them on TV with viewership or pay to see their MESSAGE movies. I'm NOT alone in this so dismiss my opinion id you like and continue to think all is GREAT with the MCU

I akin it to sports. If a team is doing well, they'll sell out season after season. But if they suck for seasons on end, nobody will show up.

Produce qualify and people will watch. It's that simple.

@EgoEgor - That is a good analogy. People are kind of pre-emptively calling "the end of the MCU" but they can easily turn it around by putting out consistent good products again, including on Disney+

every show failed because they sucked.

Using a BOXING analogy, Kevin Fiege trained HARD and fought his way all the way to the top becoming Champion. After being champ for a long while, he forgot what it took to get there and is NOW listening to other trainers (who've accomplished NOTHING)about how they think he should fight. That's WHY he's losing

Hey,. if Marvel Television never closed, I think the MCU would become so much more expansive that it'd redeem all of the Disney+ series in our eyes because said division would have a much more consistent level of quality over quantity and reference the MCU films and even have MCU characters appear in the TV shows and expand their backstories more.
