From Splash Page:

"In the Best Breakout Star category, it's Spider-Man vs. Hit-Girl as "The Social Network" actor Andrew Garfield vies against Chloe Moretz, the ass-kicking, pre-teen dynamo of "Kick-Ass." Also nominated is Jay Chou, who also kicked a significant amount of ass as Kato in "The Green Hornet."

The Best Villain category features the comics-friendly duo of Christoph Waltz in "The Green Hornet" and Mickey Rourke in "Iron Man 2." We're not sure why none of the Evil Exes from "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" made the cut here, but hey, we don't make the rules.

It feels like another "Scott Pilgrim" snub here, but the only comic book movie to get a nod in the Best Fight category was "Kick-Ass" — specifically, the very-worthy brawl between Chloë Moretz and Mark Strong.

We're starting to see a pattern here, as "Kick-Ass" and "Iron Man 2" once again get the only nods in the Biggest Badass Star category. This time, it's Chloë Moretz in "Kick-Ass" squaring off against Robert Downey Jr. in "Iron Man 2." The good news in this category? There aren't any nominees from the "Twilight" movies! We've got a chance, comic book movie fans!"

So I guess since they aren't airing music anymore, they can focus on Comic Book Movies! Heck, we'll like it!

It doesn't matter what you think, luckylu, that film made over $600 million world wide and was the 7th highest grossing film of 2010.

i think iron man 2 was a box office smash compared to the others.

scott pilgrim vs the world $47,664,559

kick ass $106,125,903

green hornet $228,221,215

IRON MAN 2 $623,433,331

iron man 2 took more money than the other three combined.

I liked all the films, so I'm better than all of you. There, I said it, since we are playing the 'I liked and disliked whichever movie so that means my "opinion" is law and correct' game.

All good movies. Scott Pilgrim had some of the coolest fights. When he kicks the guy's head off into coins, I mean, you can't say that wasn't bad ass.

2010 was the year of Scott Pilgrim and it probably deserves a special award for the having nailed the perfect hat-trick, which is a rarity: the concluding of a great book series; a critically acclaimed movie; and then having that film turned into an awesome tie-in game (which itself does not happen very often).

the fact that the film was snubbed @ the MTV Movie Awards elicits feelings I had when I learned The Dark Knight was snubbed from a well-deserved Best Picture nom @ the Academy Awards two years ago.

If anyone objects to my sentiments, I'll gladly hear them...

Scott Pilgrim should have gotten some love, but the nominees are all good choices

And another thing: why is Green Hornet on this list for the awards this year? It came out in January, 2011! aren't these awards for 2010?

I stopped watching the MTV movie awards the year Twilight came out. Since then, it's pointless to watch because all the [frick]ing little girls go and vote for whatever Twilight is nominated for, whether it deserves to win or not. [frick] that. Let me know when there's a point again.

P.S. Scott Pilgrim wasn't that great

I can already predict what will happen, Twilight and Inception will win so who gives a [frick] anymore

Why do people bash Iron Man 2 so much? Granted, it wasn't as good as it's predecessor, but in no way was it a bad film...

IMO, it was a great and highly entertaining movie. Not to mention that it has a Certified Fresh 74% of approval at Rotten Tomatoes and was a huge Box Office hit...

But I guess each to it's own opinion right?

Being an international blockbuster doesn't change the fact that Iron Man 2 was a pointless waste of time. Tell me, what was the point of that movie, what did we learn that we didn't already know about Stark/Iron Man/Shield? Transformers was also an international blockbuster, anyone here argue that that was a good-great movie? Didn't think so. Kick-Ass was a very good movie; great characters and a point to the story! It's lack of income doesn't change that.
