Last month, we got our first glimpse of Guardians of the Galaxy Kurt Russell as Father Christmas in Netflix's upcoming holiday movie The Christmas Chronicles. Sporting the iconic red suit and hat with a magnificent beard, Russell very much looks the part of Jolly Old Saint Nick, and now we have a full trailer for the movie.

As is the case with most holiday movies, The Christmas Chronicles looks adorably-cheesy. The movie tells the story of a sister and brother (Kate and Teddy) who hatch a plan to record Santa Claus on camera while in the act on Christmas Eve. As the trailer reveals, the surprise causes the sleigh to crash, leaving Santa stranded in the city and unable to deliver his gifts around the world. Together, Santa, Kate, and Teddy partake on a crazy adventure through the night to save Christmas before it's too late.

As it turns out, Santa's got a bit of a wild side and upon watching the trailer, Russell seems like the perfect casting. He's got the perfect mix of charm, jolliness, and attitude.

The Christmas Chronicles looks like a heartwarming movie to watch this holiday season, albeit a bit cheesy. But it's certainly not in the same category as, say, Netflix's A Christmas Prince, which was so bad even the streaming service questioned the sanity of those who watched it.

The Christmas Chronicles, a holiday adventure from producer Chris Columbus (“Home Alone”, "Harry Potter") and director Clay Kaytis ("The Angry Birds Movie"), tells the story of sister and brother, Kate (Darby Camp) and Teddy Pierce (Judah Lewis), whose Christmas Eve plan to catch Santa Claus (Kurt Russell) on camera turns into an unexpected journey that most kids could only dream about. After staking out Santa’s arrival, they sneak into his sleigh, cause it to crash and nearly derail Christmas. As their wild night unfolds, Kate and Teddy work together with Santa - as you've never seen him before - and his loyal Elves to save Christmas before it's too late.

The Christmas Chronicles will debut on Netflix on November 22.

If you’re good you get a new dad and superpowers but if you’re naughty he just murders your mom.

Call me 🥜 but Russell looks in Prime Shape and would still be able to headline a ‘Big Trouble’ sequel today.

Jaime Lee kicked butt so could Russell.

I am so over this site. I am using superherohype.com from now on. I am over all these ads that plaster my phone while trying to read, click bait “articles,” especially Josh Wilding “articles.”

Goodbye and good riddance.
