While audiences and critics weren't blown away by the first season of the Toby Stephens (Black Sails) and Molly Parker (House of Cards) led Lost in Space series on Netflix, the show's high-production values and talented central cast overshadowed any other narrative shortcomings and secured a second season for the rebooted science fiction program.

No date has currently been set for when the new season will drop, though Omega Underground have confirmed when and where filming for season two will take place. According to the site, production will again return to Vancouver, Canada where the sophomore season of the show will shoot from 4th September 2018 to 1st March 2019.

Season 1 of Lost in Space is currently available to stream on Netflix.

A modern reimagining of the 1960's classic created by Irwin Allen, Lost in Space is set 30 years in the future where colonization in space has become a reality. The epic series follows the Robinson family, one of the families selected to make a new life for themselves in a better world. But when the new colonists find themselves abruptly torn off course en route to their new home they must forge new alliances and work together to survive in a dangeroud alien environment, lightyears from their original destination.

Surprisingly, this actually worked and with enough twists and turns to make it consistently entertaining.

Great show! Awesome special effects, solid story, characters you actually care about and no crazy political nonsense to push an agenda that so many of these shows can't seem to resist. Also, it's a show the whole family can watch yet nothing feels dumbed down at all. I do hope season two answers some lingering questions though.

@Buckster10 - I have not seen it, but you had my interest at "no crazy political nonsense" - very refreshing. I'll check it out.

@MexicanSexyman - Actually, no, moron. She's a strong character. But, I bet like a good sheep, you believe everything that CNN tells you to think.

@sixthsense - Man, this movie is 10/10. Serious. But the mid-credits scene broke my heart.

If you, your friends, family and their friends/family etc have not seen this series yet, then they are missing out. This is a great series and worth putting at the top of your watch list. Each episode isn’t like watching a feature length movie.
I’m glad their making a season 2
