After acquiring the film from Sony Pictures earlier this year, Netflix has finally released the official trailer for Patrick Hughes' upcoming action-comedy The Man from Toronto.

The movie stars 2x Primetime Emmy-nominee Kevin Hart (Central IntelligenceDC League of Super-Pets) and 3x Academy Award-nominee Woody Harrelson (Venom: Let There Be CarnageTrue Detective) in the lead roles as a pair of men caught in a case of mistaken identity.

The plot centers on the world’s deadliest assassin, the titular “Man from Toronto” (Harrelson), and a down-on-his-luck regular guy (Hart), who get mistaken for one another while they're staying at an Airbnb. Hilarious shenanigans ensue as they both try to make it out of their respective predicaments alive.

2x Primetime Emmy-nominee Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang TheoryThe Flight Attendant), Jasmine Mathews (The Tomorrow WarThe Rookie), Lela Loren (American GodsPower), Pierson Fodé (SupergirlThe Bold and the Beautiful), Jencarlos Canela (TelenovelaGrand Hotel), and Primetime Emmy-winner Ellen Barkin (The FanAnimal Kingdom) round out the supporting cast.

The Man from Toronto starts streaming on June 24.

A case of mistaken identity arises after a screw-up sales consultant and the world’s deadliest assassin—known only as The Man from Toronto— run into each other at a holiday rental. Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson star in this action packed comedy only on Netflix 6/24.

I like Woody Harrelson and have at times enjoyed Kevin Hart, but allegedly Jason Statham walked away from this because he didn't agree with the tone and if a guy that did a movie like Spy thinks a movie has tone issues then that's a major red flag.

@Reeds2Much - Hmm, that's weird because Statham agreed to be in Hobbs and Shaw and this movie doesn't look any better or worse than that.

@generictheeric - Which leads me to believe this movie is somehow even sillier

@generictheeric - Do you REALLY think Statham joined Hobbs and Shaw for story or tone of the movie reasons? 😂😂

Didn't see the trailer yet, but based on the picture alone I get the vibe that this will be another unkillable tough guy, that harasses the logical, little-man for an hour and a half, until he somewhat stands up for himself. Afterwards the unkillable tough guy gives semi-acceptance, after he defends the logical little man against another asshole.
