Some of literature's most terrifying characters, including Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray, and iconic figures from the novel Dracula are lurking in the darkest corners of Victorian London. PENNY DREADFUL is a frightening psychological thriller that weaves together these classic horror origin stories into a new adult drama.

Starring Josh Hartnett, Eva Green, Timothy Dalton, Rory Kinnear, Harry Treadaway, Reeve Carney and Billie Piper, Penny Dreadful will debut on Showtime in 2014.

No, this is like The League of Insidious Scoundrels.

This isn't my kind of show, but I have to admit the cast is really impressive.

It looks like it will be a mature version of the tv show "Sleepy Hollow." Not that that's a bad thing, it could be cool, but that is my first thought, and kind of a turn off for me.
