Completely agree with Supercat and InfiniteMonkey. And in my fantasies, Eva Green is my loving wife.

Amamzing show! Horror/Dark shows are some of the best on tv right now. AHS, Hannibal, Penny Dreadful, Walking Dead...

I read a description of the show somewhere that called it "super-sexualized fantasy" or something like that, which put me off, but the first 2 eps are still on my computer.
But this article and these comments have me convinced that I should give it a try! Thanks!

I came to the conclusion after episode 2 that Eva Green is posessed in real life. I mean that scene... wow , intense. She is [frick]ing talented.

That's a pretty emo looking monster. Fitting, I guess. He hates his father.

Ethan Chandler is a werewolf. An American werewolf in London. He also did mention his show was going to Paris. An American werewolf in Paris.

One of the most intelligently written shows on TV, on the level of the BBC's "Sherlock Holmes", in my opinion. Brilliant casting and dialogue to match. I ordered Showtime just for this one show, and it's been worth it!

My only complaint is that it isn't even a full hour, but more like 50 minutes. Granted network shows are probably even less given breaks for commercials, but still wish it at least ran the full hour. That is my ONLY complaint, though.

This is Gothic horror done RIGHT!

Just saw the clip of Ethan refusing his blood for the transfusion. Given that plus his run-in with the wolves in this week's episode where he seemed able to communicate with them, I think others above are correct that we may have an American Werewolf on this show. Good call!

I was stoked to see the pilot on my huluplus, but no episodes since. :-( That must have been a marketing ploy by Showtime to tease and get someone to subscribe.

if you had sex with vanessa, would it be classed as a threesome?

@ IchabodCrane

if you watch the opening credits it looks like a werewolf is shown in them.

Finally, a thread where everyone agrees. Great, great show, so far. Has potential to be one of the best shows I've ever seen, since I'm a huge fan of all the characters, meaning Frankenstein, yet-to-seen Dracula, and of course werewolves, if that's what Josh Hartnett's character might be. It's off to a great start. And yes, Hannibal turned out to be awesome. Was a little slow the first season, but second season picked up nicely and ended awesome. Can't wait for next season of Hannibal, and rest of Penny.

"as good as game of thrones."

I somehow doubt that. Seriously though, is this show worth trying out?

I think it's much better than Game of Talking. I really don't see why everyone loves that show. It's like ordering an awesome meal and instead of cooking it, the chef just tells you about it and shows you the occasional ingredient.

Looks like somebody was watching 'This Must Be The Place' and were inspired to make this show. :)
