THE MANDALORIAN Season 3 Rumored To Feature Naboo N-1 Starfighters - Will We Return To Ja Jar's Home Planet?

Could we see Din Djarin & Grogu travel to the Gungan home planet of Naboo during season 3 of The Mandalorian? A new rumor doing the rounds claims that an N-1 Starfighter has been constructed for the show.

Naboo was introduced in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, but the space-saga has never seemed to be in too big a rush to return to the Gungan home planet, and outside of the prequels, the location hasn't really featured in a live-action setting since.

Could that be about to change on the small screen?

According to Making Star Wars, two prequel-era starships will feature in upcoming episodes of The Mandalorian: Boba Fett's Slave 1, and a Naboo N-1 Starfighter.

Fett's iconic ship will reportedly appear in one of the remaining season 2 episodes (which makes sense considering the bounty hunter is almost certain to return to confront Din Djarin before/during the finale), while the N-1 Starfighter is said to have been constructed for the upcoming third season.

Though this is far from confirmation that we will revisit Naboo on the show, it is a pretty good indication that the planet - and possibly its extremely irritating inhabitants - will factor into the plot in some capacity. Could Jar Jar Binks himself show up? It would be a perfect opportunity for Ahmed Best to reprise the role and give some closure to the character, but that might be a stretch.

What do you guys think? Would you like to see Mando and Grogu pay a little visit to Naboo during season 3 of The Mandalorian?

It featured in ATTACK OF THE CLONES as well. Chronologically, it’s last live action appearance is in the celebration scene of RETURN OF THE JEDI.

@RorMachine - I only remember it because those scenes were filmed in Italy, otherwise I would've forgotten too.

One of my favorite starship designs in the whole franchise. I will lose my shit if we get a proper space battle in the Mandalorian.

''Fett's iconic ship will reportedly appear in one of the remaining season 2 episodes''

My guess it's gonna be this week already, because I think Mando is gonna trade the armor for Cobb's help getting to Tython. Only for Boba (and Fennec?) to show up too.

The N-1 would be really dope to see, but I don't think we'll see Naboo though. Probably a small rebel group using them (like the wookies having a LAAT in Fallen Order).

@bkmeijer - I like the idea that he saved her and she’s now his henchwoman.

@globaltravels - yeah I was thinking that I can see Fennec be the main villain and only a small Boba tease again. Wasn't sure she survived or not last season though.

Kamino is the planet I want to see again. It would be a season finale on Kamino, with Moff Gideon, Djarin and the force-sensitive "Super-Troopers."

@Repian - I think this season will have a pretty crazy ending ala ESB, maybe Mando fails/looses something important.

@Repian - I think we'll see Tython be the place for the (two-part) finale. Gideon is probably gonna blow up the temple in at the end of Chapter 15, and Mando and Bo-Katan & Friends (who will turn up in the finale) will take on Gideon in Chapter 16

I think we will find out that Jar Jar Binks was involved in saving Grogu from Order 66. Perhaps a Jedi passed Grogu off to him. But who? Difficult to answer.

@WackyBantha - I have read a rumor. Grogu appears in the animated series "The Bad Batch." Maybe they save the child on a special mission.

So in the last 3 episodes we will have Boba Fett, Moff Gideon, Dark Troopers, Tython... [frick] there’s just not enough time left for anything satisfying

Would be cool if they kill off Jar Jar Binks.
