We were fortunate to have worked with Andy in 'Spartacus' and came to know that the man who played a champion on-screen was also a champion in his own life. Andy was an inspiration to all of us as he faced this very personal battle with courage, strength and grace. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. He will live on in the hearts of his family, friends and fans."

WHAT! My heart literally stopped when I read the headline. DAMN. We'll miss you Andy. Thank you for that great season of Spartacus. You will always be a legend in my eyes.

Wow....I heard he had cancer....but was not expecting him to die. I thought he would push through. I mean he looks so healthy.
I know how his family feels...I am only 16, and all my grandparents died from some form of lung cancer by the time i was 13...thank god my parents do not smoke, I won't have to lose them anytime soon.

I have had both friends and family battle the big C some have pulled through while others have sadley pass on. He was a great actor and brought life to a much loved warrior.

Wow, this a total shocker. I remember back at the first of the year when it was mentioned he was receiving treatment for cancer, it wasn't made out to be a big deal. Terrible news to wake up to. My thoughts go out to his family during this terrible ordeal.

Holy Crap! I'm in shock right now. I knew he had cancer, that's why they couldn't continue, but I thought he was getting better. This is extremely sad.
