[SPOILER] Comments On His Surprise VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE Cameo

The Venom: Let There Be Carnage's post-credits scene sets the stage for Eddie Brock to cross paths with [SPOILER] and the actor has now weighed in on that amazing stinger and what it might mean from here.

Something happens in Spider-Man: No Way Home that brings villains from other worlds into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, hence why Peter Parker finds himself battling the likes of Doctor Octopus and Electro. Venom: Let There Be Carnage's post-credits scene also brought Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock into that reality, though we don't know if he'll appear in the upcoming threequel.

We're banking on getting something (even if it's just another tease or reference), but Tom Holland wasn't willing to give too much away during a recent interview with Total Film

"I genuinely don't know," he responded after being asked what the stinger might be leading to. "It was really exciting to be a part of that film. Obviously, Tom Hardy is one of the greatest actors in the world. I'm happy to say that he's a lovely bloke. But I haven't really given it very much thought."

Holland probably has a rough idea of what the future holds in store for Spider-Man beyond No Way Home, though he has previously confirmed that his contract for these solo outings will end with this instalment. A clash with Venom is inevitable, though, and that scene was clearly meant to set the stage for the Lethal Protector to target the web-slinger.

Hopefully, Spider-Man: No Way Home will explain why Peter Parker was standing around the Big Apple unmasked for Eddie Brock and Venom to see that news report, though!

Just imagine if Loki appears in the next Spider-Man with Venom - 3 MCU Tom's.

@Carnage1991 - hmm. So when do old movies count as MCU? Is Incredible Hulk a sequel to Hulk? Do the previous 5 Spider-Man movies count? Or Venom 1?

Probably yes to all those but the Hulk, forget that one haha, and yet, it’s no to all of em. That’s the beauty of the multiverse uniting Sony and MCU. It only counts when the Twain shall meet.

@TheWalkingCuban - I always felt like the opening credits of TIH fit reasonably well with the story in Hulk and personally consider it at least a partial sequel. Kind of like how The Suicide Squad is to Suicide Squad. It’s not like the first one didn’t happen, we’re just not really gonna talk about it.

@Santanaonfire - haha yes but SS was squarely in the DCEU and so arguably more disappointing, since two follow ups made less money than the predecessor for each, and TIH made… slightly more than H. Slightly more than heroin

@JFerguson - Deep fake! Fake news! That would be hilarious. He should just deny EVERYTHING, even shit we’ve already clearly seen in the trailer.

This is ironic because I just finished watching venom let there be carnage for the first time.. man what the hell was that? Did they tell everybody to ham it up? Jeez

Anyways, Tom actually knows something. Until i hear otherwise, you can't convince me Tom is done in the mcu after no way home

@MyCoolYoung - I hope NWH doesn't put him in another universe. I want him to go to college in the MCU and meet other MCU characters and come to blows with MCU versions of his classic villains, not just some variants from old movies
Ha1frican
Ha1frican - 11/11/2021, 2:32 PM
@MyCoolYoung - Yeah it was real bad. They really increased the camp with LTBC and then chopped the movie down to nothing making it feel even wierder bc of the editing
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 11/11/2021, 3:04 PM
@Ha1frican - with its short run time I thought it’d be a lot of action and fast paced but that first 30 minutes dragged.

Like the first one was dated but this one looked like it should’ve come out with the ninja turtles movie with the go ninja rap.

I don’t say a lot of movies are bad because Most movies are average but this was pretty bad
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 11/11/2021, 3:07 PM
@bkmeijer - yeah that’s what I hope for as well but it just doesn’t look good right now.

I think all of these variants are joining for a reason and the cocky nature of Sony when the deal collapsed “we know what we’re doing”. Maybe spidey is back for a team up but his solo days seem to be numbered
bkmeijer2
bkmeijer2 - 11/11/2021, 3:32 PM
@MyCoolYoung - I hope he does. As far as I know the deal was a solo movie and a team-up, and we've had the solo one now. Doubt it's Avengers 5, think that is atleast a three year wait. Could almost make another solo in the meantime
Ha1frican
Ha1frican - 11/11/2021, 3:53 PM
@MyCoolYoung - Yeah I would say that movie was actively bad. Most movies I’d say are dumb but this one was on most levels genuinely poorly made. That having been said because of its potential connection to the MCU I paid to see it and that’s the only reason it exists as does Sony’s whole Spiderman adjacent slate. I will say though though I do actually think Morbius looks enjoyable in an average sort of way. I don’t think it will be great by any means but I doubt I will be as actively annoyed as I have been with either Venom movie
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 11/11/2021, 6:49 PM
@Ha1frican - morbius looks way better. Even if we just wanted to watch venom for the action, it’s not good there. I’m not even a cgi snub but the cg is comically bad a whole lot.

The venom/Brock bromance needs to be toned down a lot
