VENOM 2: Eddie Brock's Notebook Reveals New Details About Cletus Kasady's Murderous Past

In Venom's mid-credits scene [SPOILER WARNING], Eddie Brock pays a visit to serial killer Cletus Kasady. The intrepid journalist has been promised an interview with him but Cletus quickly makes it clear that he plans on escaping and causing "carnage." At the New York Comic-Con this weekend, Sony put Eddie's notebook on display and it sheds some light on what happened in Carnage's past.

As you can see below, he was responsible for a massacre in New York City, pushed a woman who wouldn't go on a date with him in front of a bus, and tortured his mother's dog with a drill when he was a
child. Oh, and he also dug his mother's body up, perhaps because he was attracted to her when she was alive. Clearly, he a total psychopath and that will make his Carnage transformation fun.

Are you guys excited to see Carnage in the Venom sequel? Let us know your thoughts below.

Venom 2? No Josh, this is still just regarding Venom...

Inaccurate, click bait title aside, some nice little easter eggs here regarding Kasady’s past. Can’t imagine how’d they do the character justice with PG rating though.

@DetectiveCinema - Pushing his grandmother down the stairs, torturing his Dog with a drill, living in the orphanage, and setting the orphanage on fire are all pulled straight from Kletus' first appearance when Peter Parker was doing some detective work to figure out what he was dealing with.

Kind of cool...

@DetectiveCinema - I love how Josh doesnt even defend himself anymore.

@DetectiveCinema - yeah. No way they'll keep this as definitively canon when writing the sequel (they might but it wont stop them from going in a completely different direction if they want to). This tells us nothing.

saw the movie...movie was cool but god the sony edited the movie and chopped so many scenes...the best scene was the eddie and anne in the car going to the hospital, was really emotional.

Also she-venom needs to come back asap!

@DoomPatrolGuy - Great scene in the car, and I hope thay Ann gets Venom and has a fun rampage scene in the sequel.
Or maybe just give Ann the Scream symbiote, the Life Foundation plot just ended and Donna Diego was nowhere.

Venom's success surprised me at first, but then I remembered transformers 4 made a billion dollars

@NathimusPrime - In this year Marvel released Antman and the Wasp, and u know, i can not tell, that its better then Venom movie...

@CapLithuania - I Liked Ant Man & The Wasp a lot, but people is so much mercyful with the flaws of the company of their chosing...

@CapLithuania - @Kleytus So true, but i would say Antmand and the Wasp, had a better story and better character arcs, it was a better film, it was really low for the standard of Marvel, it feels just like a straight for Netflix/DVD/Bluray movie...

But i still believe, Ant Man and the Wasp is better than Venom, at less Ghost was an interesting character and i dont know, there was some kind of arc?

But yes, in general both movies feel like a product, made to take more money from stupid audience members and waste time until the clock hits 90-110 minutes...

@CapLithuania @Kleytus - For starters the actors are actually more likable that means allot to movie watchers.

@AleSir19 - ant man and the wasp, regardless of tastes, was at least consistent with rules.

Venom contradicted itself between scenes, and that - to me - makes it a lesser movie since it failed at what should be a movie's prime objective - telling a story

AleSir19 - 10/11/2018, 2:47 AM
@ftf530 - It is sadly true...

But it is Sony, i dont know what you were expecting, at less from Marvel making a movie like Thor: The Dark World or Ant Man and the Wasp, is sad...

From Sony i expect dogshit level filmmaking, because their producers are trap in the middle of 2000...

I understand that they need to keep the fire up while it's burning strong (and don't mind this little pieces of lore from the movie), but at this point I am starting to think about Morbius, and if Venom will pop up there (he absolutely should).

If they are going for a mid 2020 release date (which they should, but also I can see them going for late 2019 if they rush it again...), it could also get Spidey in there if they have a succesful renegotiation with Marvel about Spiderman in the MCU and crossfilms.

Next months are going to be so interesting...

@Kleytus - Probably definitely not gonna see Spidey in his movie. You know if we see Marvel handle Venom it'll be when he comes to the MCU.
BassMan
BassMan - 10/9/2018, 5:01 AM
@Kleytus - Could see an interesting dynamic between the two(3?), as they are both creatures driven by an insatiable hunger but have generally good intentions. Maybe not the symbiote so much, but you get the picture

This is pretty cool. Would have been a nice little piece of marketing if revealed before the premiere of the film.
