Venom: Let There Be Carnage vastly exceeded expectations at the North American box office this weekend, and the response from the vast majority of fans appears to have been positive. While Venom was a hit, it certainly didn't score much in the way of goodwill from comic book readers, but this clash between Venom and Carnage appears to have really resonated with fans of the characters.
Now, you can relive the epic battle with an incredible new Carnage Hot Toys action figure. The highly-accurate figure measures approximately 43cm tall and displays a great level of detailed sculpting. Included are two newly developed head sculpts featuring a grinning head sculpt, and a head sculpt with a fanged mouth and three interchangeable protruding tongues (not everyone loves those).
There are also monstrous weapons and accessories including attacking claws, sickle, sword, and a number of symbiote tentacles sprouting from its back with different styles of interchangeable symbiote parts; and a figure stand. However, perhaps most interesting is the comparison between Venom and Carnage in terms of their size as Cletus Kasady's alien other is clearly quite a bit larger.
That's a slight departure from the source material, but not one that should bother purists too much.
In our review of the Marvel Comics adaptation, we said: "Venom: Let There Be Carnage is the ultimate Marvel movie; seeing Venom and Carnage clash is a comic book fan’s dream come true, but the epic action is bolstered by incredible visuals, some big laughs, and a surprising amount of heart."
