Four new TV spots for the upcoming Mortal Kombat movie have found their way online, and they each contain some snippets of exciting new footage from Warner Bros. and New Line's video game reboot.

There is some stuff from the recent trailer in these promos, along with quite a few new shots of the likes of Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Scorpion, Kano and Mileena in action as they struggle to survive the lethal tournament. We also hear Cole Young (Lewis Tan) speak for the first time, putting an end to the speculation that the character will be mute after he never uttered a single word in the trailer.

Check out the spots in the player below, and let us know if you're looking forward to Mortal Kombat in the comments.

In “Mortal Kombat,” MMA fighter Cole Young, accustomed to taking a beating for money, is unaware of his heritage—or why Outworld's Emperor Shang Tsung has sent his best warrior, Sub-Zero, an otherworldly Cryomancer, to hunt Cole down. Fearing for his family's safety, Cole goes in search of Sonya Blade at the direction of Jax, a Special Forces Major who bears the same strange dragon marking Cole was born with. Soon, he finds himself at the temple of Lord Raiden, an Elder God and the protector of Earthrealm, who grants sanctuary to those who bear the mark.
Here, Cole trains with experienced warriors Liu Kang, Kung Lao and rogue mercenary Kano, as he prepares to stand with Earth’s greatest champions against the enemies of Outworld in a high stakes battle for the universe. But will Cole be pushed hard enough to unlock his arcana—the immense power from within his soul—in time to save not only his family, but to stop Outworld once and for all?

Mortal Kombat is set for a simultaneous release in theaters and on HBO Max this April 12.

@TMW1987ProudProWrestlingFan - The original movie is still tons of fun to watch. I jist watched it the other day. It only really stumbles in the special effects area, but during its time the effects were good, and couldn't look much better.

But to this day, that Scorpion and Johnny Cage fight is still one of my favorite fights in any movie. When they are fighting on that rickety ass bridge, the camera stays steady and you can really see what each actor is doing. The coreography is great.

I'm actually okay with CGI Goro. I'm sure they could do a really good Goro with practical effects now, but I just think back to that awkward Goro in the first movie and it gives me nightmares lol

CGI is fine. As long as it is done well.

@TMW1987ProudProWrestlingFan - You seem awfully bothered that I don't like it. I assure you, my opinion means little.

While I know this won’t happen and understand the reasons for why, I would lose it if the film started like this

@manofillintent1 - I think the original version will be in somewhere (Even if the end credits) & their updated modern remix (Featured in the first trailer) used somewhere within the film.

They already knew from the start they ahd to incorporate it somehow.

Thinking that Cole is going to be Tremor or something with that upperbody armor.

@SatsuiNoJXA - I mean, I gotta think he'll be someone. There's no way they bring in "random MMA guy" as the main character when the franchise has so many great characters they could have used. Johnny Cage would have filled the role of being the viewer's eyes and introduction to the world perfectly. He's easily the most relateable and grounded character in all of MK.

I'm afraid Liu Kang and Kung Lao are going to have smaller parts in this. I'm actually okay with taking some focus off of Liu Kang for a change, but King Lao is by far my favorite MK character and he always gets the shaft in everything. Even in the games he's always playing second fiddle to Liu Kang...

@CorndogBurglar - I dont think I've ever met another person whose favorite character is Kung Lao. I'm not alone!

@CorndogBurglar - i've always preferred kung lao to liu kang. personally, i think they should've stuck closer to the games with the roster. liu kang, sonya blade, johnny cage in the first, kitana, kung lao, and jax in the second.

@Hawkguy - Kung Lao os awesome man. He always has such cool looking combos.

@Termin8er - I agree. The first movie should have stuck with the characters from the first game. But I also understand wanting to add some more fan favorites to draw more viewers. But really, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Raiden and Liu Kang are the heroes to kick everything off. They really should have stuck with them. And Sub-Zero, Shang Tsung and Kano for villains. Scorpion should be like a wildcard. Neither good or bad, just out for revenge.
