Kicking off The Game Awards was a brand new trailer for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, showing off the game's upcoming downloadable content. As previously confirmed, the DLC, officially titled "Rise of the Phoenix," will introduce four new characters from the X-Men franchise: Phoenix, Gambit, Ice Man, and Cable.
Arriving alongside these new characters is the Danger Room, a new mode where players can fight against the AI or each other. Additional Gauntlet missions will also be added.
The Rise of the Phoenix DLC will be released for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 on December 23. You'll have to purchase the Expansion Pass if you want to play as these characters since none of the add-on content is sold individually.
Following
Rise of the Phoenix will be
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3's third planned DLC pack, "
Shadow of Doom," which is themed after the
Fantastic Four. It's due out in spring 2020.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch. The Expansion Pass costs $19.99.
