UNCHARTED Star Mark Wahlberg Reveals His Sully Mustache For The Hotly Anticipated Video Game Adaptation

Tom Holland recently wrapped work on the upcoming Uncharted film, and now Mark Wahlberg has taken to Instagram to share a first look at his Sully mustache in the hotly anticipated video game adaptation!

There's been a lot of uncertainty surrounding Sony's Uncharted film, especially with hit-and-miss filmmaker Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Venom) in the director's chair. A recent first look at Tom Holland as Nathan Drake certainly intrigued fans, though, as has the news that video game voice actor Nolan North was invited to visit the set.

Earlier this Fall, Uncharted set photos appeared to show Holland's co-star Mark Wahlberg without Sully's trademark mustache. The character is a mentor to Nate in the hit PlayStation series, and was brought to life in the games by Richard McGonagle. Avatar's Stephen Lang also played him in a fan-film.

There's been a lot of doubt about whether Wahlberg is a good fit for Richard "Sully" Sullivan, but a new video shared to Instagram by the actor shows him rocking that familiar 'tache. It doesn't seem like he's too happy about it, so perhaps Sully doesn't grow it until nearer the end of the film?

As well as Holland and Wahlberg, Uncharted stars Antonio Banderas, Sophia Ali, and Tati Gabrielle. The film is currently slated to arrive in theaters on July 16, 2021.

he kinda pulls off the look, to be fair. I guess the characterization is gonna make or break the representation of the character, is he going to actually act for once or it's gonna be in Marky Mark mode during the entire runtime? I guess we'll see.
