Nolan North is a legend in the realm of voice acting, bringing countless characters to life across movies, TV shows, and video games. In Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, he plays both Amazo and Green Lantern Hal Jordan, stealing the show as only the veteran performer can.

We had the opportunity to speak with North earlier this week and asked about his cameo in 2022's Uncharted movie. The actor played Nathan Drake in Naughty Dog's hit video game franchise, leaving Tom Holland with big shoes to fill (and the Spider-Man star did a pretty great job)

As well as sharing his hopes for a fifth game, North revealed that his cameo was originally going to serve as a passing of the torch, only for it to evolve into the memorable exchange he and Holland's Nate have when the adventurer washes up on a beach where his video game counterpart is taking a vacation.

"Well, I think I’d always come back," he says of a possible Uncharted 5"I wouldn’t want to pass the torch to somebody else for the mo-cap suit. I think that would…well, it would be insane to do that. It’s too much fun. I don’t know if there are any plans for that, though."

"I think Tom did a great job with the film and I love the fact that they decided to explore where Nathan Drake was in his 20s. Speaking to producers, they said, ‘The games are movies in themselves. We don’t want to try and do a one-to-one adaptation, but where was he in his 20s?’ You get arguably one of the biggest box office stars in the world with Tom Holland and, right up there with him, Mark Wahlberg, and they’re both into it. They’re both professionals."

"It was fun. When we did the scene, the original idea was a waiter brings me a drink and as I go to grab it, Tom grabs it, and I’m like, ‘Hey, that’s mine!’ and he says, ‘Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it,'" North recalls. "We did it a couple of times, and I looked at it and said, ‘I don’t think this looks very good for Tom.’ It looks like he was taking it instead of me passing the torch. We did a couple of takes with me saying, ‘You look thirsty, kid,’ and it ended up being what it was."

"It was great fun. Of course I’d come back for a fifth game if that was possible. I’ve got a lot of other things in the works right now, including a couple more movies here. Exciting stuff."

Here's what his Uncharted cameo ended up looking like:

We'll bring you our full interview with North about his latest DC roles soon, though you can watch it now in the player above. Another Uncharted game would be nothing short of incredible, though the character did arguably get the perfect ending with that critically acclaimed fourth instalment.

As for North's Uncharted movie cameo, here's hoping we see him show up in the sequel too. That is still believed to be in the works at Sony Pictures, though it's been a while since we last heard anything about it, largely due to last year's strikes.

I think 4 was the perfect end for Nate but I wouldn’t mind him coming back in a supporting role with his & Elena’s daughter Cassie as the new franchise lead…

It would be cool if we got Kaitlyn Dever back too to reprise her role from A Thief’s End.

Also , thought the movie was just ok but his cameo was one of the better parts imo.

Think the movie would've worked a lot better if they made it canon to the game instead of having try to be it's own thing. It just ended up feeling like a copy, rather than an enrichment.

Anyway, I do wanna see a fifth game or a spin-off like Lost Legacy with Cassie as the playable character, and with Nathan, Sam and the rest as supporting cast. They got some time before the timeline catches up though, so maybe just get North for TLOU3 in the meantime.
